We find out on Saturday where the 2027 convention will be. 
Fort Wayne, Indiana has it next year.

Okay, some photos. I'll eventually post them all. It's 3PM here, the convention dinner and award presentation is this evening. And we're traveling tomorrow. I've no idea how good the internet will be at that location, so be patient.

 

Next year (2026) is August 5-8 at Ft. Wayne, Indiana and 2027 is Huntsville, Alabama.

 

They have placed the 'Best Of Category' awards this morning. My understanding is they will have a video playing during showing the 1st, 2nd, 3rd awards of each sub-category so the after-dinner show will be shorter, and we can all get our models out of the contest room earlier. I understand that everything has to be gone by midnight. It may be earlier than that and everything includes everything, not just models.

Sorry, I didn't see the other Best Of Category winners, my feet said NO!

I took photos of what I thought were LSPs although while editing the photos, I'm not sure if they're all 1/32-1/35. This is not all the helicopters in the category. At least I have the models that placed.

These were the only LSPs in this category and neither one was an award winner.

It’s a weird idea to put a cutaway F-105 flying on a pole with pilots on-board …A bit like the modeller could not choose between two types of models …

This is Category 185 Conversions. (Forgot to take a photo of the marker.) I took photos of what interested me here. Unfortunately, I didn't take a photo of the 1st Place winner. The Ki-100 was 1/32 and I think the Spitfire was 1/32 everything else was smaller scales.

Yeah, there is a 9V battery visible in the photo. It did have red LEDs in the engine area to make it look like the engine was running.
