BlrwestSiR Posted July 17 Posted July 17 An early birthday gift to myself. This just came out last week so I ordered at our local book shop. I do like the big guy for some reason. 6
RalphSarc Posted July 18 Posted July 18 This is all Mike Hede’s fault!!! I was tired from a long RV travel day and I just wanted to check my Amazon orders!! Evidently I accidentally ordered this Tamiya 1/48 NAVY A1A Sky Raider as my first Navel Aircraft Build so I had to balance the order and purchase a Tamiya 1/35 US Medium Tank M26 Pershing! It’s all his damn fault!!!! 2

belugawhaleman Posted Saturday at 04:59 PM Posted Saturday at 04:59 PM Got this today..... These kits had been hard to find lately, but may be back in production as I saw one on Sprue Brothers. On EBAY they were available, but with inflated prices...Even Plaza Japan has one priced at $ 86.00 USD !!!!! But I found this Tamiya French Light Tank AMX-13 (35349) in 1/35 on EBAY for about half that price😀 I also found the seller was from Mattesen in neighboring Cook County Illinois. You might remember i posted a build of a Lebanese version of this tank a while back Yes, it's an odd-looking tank 😀 4

Nothing against a bit of Stoner Rock for a birthday party with the lizard . Cheers Rob 4 1

GusMac Posted Saturday at 08:25 PM Posted Saturday at 08:25 PM Have to say I still prefer the original Blue Oyster Cult version. 3

A classic Ralph😀 If you buy a lot of Tamiiya kits check out Plaza Japan. Their shipping is high but if you save on a few kits it makes it worthwhile. https://www.plazajapan.com/ 1

During our recent RV trip I did a lot of research into early version camouflage schemes. I’ve also been watching a few new YouTube channels specifically tuned to weathering and detailing armor builds. I’m very excited to try some new techniques on my future builds. 2

RalphSarc Posted Tuesday at 12:08 PM Posted Tuesday at 12:08 PM Mail call!! Tamiya 1/35 US Medium Tank M26 Pershing! Somehow while I was on our RV trip my stash started to grow! How does that happen?? 2
RalphSarc Posted Tuesday at 12:11 PM Posted Tuesday at 12:11 PM Was super thrilled to see this Trumpeter 1/35 German E75 Flakpanzer (Paper Panzer) finally, after many years, pop up on my Amazon back in stock list today! I built it once before using rust techniques as it would have been found abandoned in a testing area at wars end. Yes the Dark Side Devil made me order it, lol!!! 3
BlrwestSiR Posted Tuesday at 02:05 PM Posted Tuesday at 02:05 PM Neat looking paper Panzer there Ralph. The turret sure looks tall on that chassis. Carl 2

Martinnfb Posted yesterday at 02:25 PM Posted yesterday at 02:25 PM He is definitely on somebody's else's bench as we speak. 3
belugawhaleman Posted 22 hours ago Posted 22 hours ago Small stuff today...No models or Dspiae items.. A replacement barrel for the Tamiya Cromwell from Aber (35 L-37) I don't feel like filling and sanding a two-part plastic barrel. A 3d printed set from Quinta Studio for the Hasegawa Raiden in 1/32 (QTSQD32238) They look pretty cool Last, 4 bottles of "Sreaking Effects" from AMMO. I really want to try using these😀 4
Martinnfb Posted 19 hours ago Posted 19 hours ago Ammo weathering products work great , although it is just a replacement of wet wash weathering for lazy people like Martin . Clear gloss with thinner, some paint and artistic pastel are the main ingredients. In case you want to mix them yourself. 4
RalphSarc Posted 18 hours ago Posted 18 hours ago Tamiya 1/48 A1H SkyRaider (Navy). I understand this is an amazing kit so I look forward to building it soon. 4
