Administrators James H Posted November 22, 2014 Administrators Share Posted November 22, 2014 Probably the best Meng Komet i've seen. I love the cockpit highlighting effects and that semi-mottle finish to the final paint job. Just gorgeous!

JG26
Great Komet, the weathering is nice & restrained (as it would be for an extremely short-lived aircraft). Love the Splinter pattern too.
BevanBrooks
Pretty awesome! Love the colour variation in the paint work. What paints and final varnish did you use? Cheers Bevan

John Irwin
Very nice, especially the painting. Question - should all the 30mm ammo be black tipped? I thought the Germans used a mix ( could be totally wrong, just curious)? John

tbell
John, yes, I think it's possible, but i have no photo...Outstanding work! I especially like the little touches like the drain vents on the control surfaces. As for the MK108 ammunition, it actually had a steel casing with a yellow painted warhead: Cheers, Tony
