kkarlsen
Am I the only one being a bit frustrated about the absence of 1/32 vehicles to go with 1/32 aircraft models? So I got this mad idea, using one of the few models available from the last century... Maybe it's possible to make something like this...

GusMac
Nice idea Kent. Look forward to seeing how this progresses. It's certainly a great start.
Administrators JeroenPeters Posted December 1, 2016 Administrators Share Posted December 1, 2016 That is one cool project! What plane will you combine with this?
DocRob
What a great idea. I'd like to see a Diorama with a Pilot jumping out of the car, arriving late to his Mossie or Spit.
kkarlsen
Thanks! The plan is to use it together with a crashed Me Bf109-G2 trop. The inspiration comes from some of the many photos of downed Me 109's from the North African campaign, with a British vehicle in the background. The scratchbuild... The radio is from the Tamiya LRDG Chevrolet kit and bags from my stash... I've added some details to the wheels, no hub cab etc...

FME erk
Any chance of seeing the finish on this conversion Kent with at least one photo please ??? Like you, I despair at the lack of large scale vehicles to enhance the large aircraft. David

Peterpools
Kent You’re a mad man at the bench. Just catching up and spectacular scratch work for sure - not to mention your brilliant touch when it comes to weathering. Aces on the build and yes, I’m just as frustrated with the lack of period vehicles. Peter
kkarlsen
Thank you Peter. I haven't really got any evidence of the Humber Lorry ever being in North Africa, so it's more or less a 'what if' project... This photo of a Bedford was used as an inspiration for the Humber weathering... Cheers: Kent Link to diorama...
