Drdave Posted January 3, 2017 Posted January 3, 2017 Those of you on FB may have seen my tired and battered warhorse Rumpler. I did some marmite method chipping on her. Unfortunately I dropped the damn model right at the end of rigging. Hence this new diorama, which involved some bending over a candle and some snipping and rearranging, including the prop. Idea was that she's ground looped after a forced landing. I'd already done the figures. The base is Meadow scene meadow grass and some fake earth. 1
DocRob Posted January 3, 2017 Posted January 3, 2017 Really convincing save of a modelling crash landing . Since I have no FB I had no advance warning of crashing Rumplers (The german meaning of the word Rumpler is something like Rattler or Rumbler). Without you commenting the unwanted crash everything looked for me like a purposefully crash landing site of the Rumpelbird. Cheers Rob 1
coolboxx Posted January 4, 2017 Posted January 4, 2017 Wow, I can just imagine what the pilot is saying to the chief. Very good Dave. 1
Administrators JeroenPeters Posted January 4, 2017 Administrators Posted January 4, 2017 loving this. Very convincing.
GusMac Posted January 4, 2017 Posted January 4, 2017 Nice save, as DocRob said I also wouldn't have had a clue that this wasn't the plan all along.
rkranias Posted January 6, 2017 Posted January 6, 2017 Turned that lemon into Lemonade. Nice recovery, build, etc. 1
Administrators Clunkmeister Posted June 29, 2019 Administrators Posted June 29, 2019 Totally convincing crash scene, Sir!
