Your workbench has all the look of a scale multidimenionsal scrap yard . Millennium Falcon , F18 and Spitfires just stacked up , a dinosaur carcass just lying around . Endless "drums" of waste stack up high ..... 'We need spares" said Han ..."I know just the place", said Luke, "in a scrap yard far far way on the planet Canadan ."

Carl WOW, your Millenium Falcon looks fantastic - paint work and weathering is spot on the money. Not sure about the stand - how does the kit one look? 🏆 1

Peterpools
Dennis, Nope, it's the skill of the builder who can use his equipment and materials to their best advantage.
ScottsGT
I don’t think I’ve ever come this close to tossing an almost finished model in the trash bin. But it’s getting close! I airbrushed this on 12/28. Already re-sprayed the left wing. Now I’m about to do the right wing. This damned Tamiya TS paint does NOT like to dry. Hell, I sprayed Dawn dish detergent on the wing to get any compound out of the panel lines before spraying. And the “gentle enough to wash baby ducks” soap spotted the gloss finish. I was damned lucky those small spots did polish out or it would be an entire respray. I’ve had it with this thing!
ScottsGT
Can’t ask for any better than this. One think I’m learning about the TS being decanted and airbrushed. It likes to go on thick and heavy. Straight out of the can, degassed some then straight into the airbrush. Any attempt I’ve made to reduce it with leveling thinner has led to a disaster with either a dull finish or blushing. It also looks twice as good recoated. Simply laying a coat of leveling thinner over the dried paint to soften it, once it’s no longer wet, go heavy with the airbrush with the paint. ….and I still have an A4 to refinish and an F-18 to paint the same way.
BlrwestSiR
With the complexity of the Minibase Su-33 on the bench, I decided to grab something simple to keep it company. A Tiger Models Corsair of the cute variety. With working, albeit slightly inaccurate folding wings. 7
Peterpools
Scott Looking mighty good and thanks for the heads up on what to do and more importantly, what not to do when decanting and air brushing Tamiya TS paints.
Peterpools
Carl An awesome F4U underway - now that's a wing fold we can surely appreciate. Wait until John sees it. 1

Martinnfb
Years ago I collected parts from my scrap to build 109. It ended up being early G. The reason for this was to show to my friend a former member here Dale, how to use various techniques and pass him as much knowledge as I could. We were sitting in front of Skype for days and playing with plastic, becoming close friends. He’s not with us anymore and I miss him and going to finish this. 1 1
