Peterpools Posted October 7, 2023 Posted October 7, 2023 Mark Looking forward to you starting a build thread and will be along every step of the way. I built my Tamiya Viper many years ago and it was a gem then and is still now the Queen of the large scale Vipers. 1

BlrwestSiR Posted October 7, 2023 Posted October 7, 2023 Some more work on the Dreadnoughts between watching the Thanksgiving turkey cook on the BBQ. A quick dry fit together along with the Andromeda. One goes on either side. 6 1
BlrwestSiR Posted October 8, 2023 Posted October 8, 2023 Back to my VF-1 Tomcat. Got the internal supports for the stand done. Runs through one of the Sparrow fin slots. Test fit on the stand with the wings and tailplanes placed on it so hopefully I got the location right for it to balance. Ignore that slight step in the fuselage... 6 1

ScottsGT Posted October 9, 2023 Posted October 9, 2023 This one was on my “bench” last Friday. It’s one of those outdoor projects that requires perfect weather, no wind and no one around to pester me into going somewhere, doing something else or a distraction of any kind. My old F-250 once had a camper shell on it. The seal on the door had worn through the paint. Rust was taking over quickly. Grabbed the old Bosch DA, some 80 and 220 grit and cleaned it up. Squirted on some Rustoleum primer I had and then got the interruption phone call. Retired guys lunch date was still on. Cool. Primer needs to dry hood anyway. Went to get in the Mustang and the cover was still on it. Easier to pull the paper off the truck. LOL! Got home and re-papered, sanded and primed once again. Scuffed with 400 and broke out the rattle cans of matching white and clear. Done! Oh yea, and new headlights last Wednesday too. Old Marge the garbage barge is getting younger by the day. Next up is a new stereo with Bluetooth because every time I get in commercials are playing from my house all the way to the dump and back. I might hear one song in route. 6 1

BlrwestSiR Posted October 10, 2023 Posted October 10, 2023 1/1 scale. No need to worry about getting fur in the paint job for once either. 2 7

Expand Actually, it's the part of the bench my sons use. How Sunny managed to find a clear spot and lay down I have no idea. But he did it without knocking over any of that stuff. It already looks that way. Meanwhile the cat bed is not 5 ft from the bench but why sleep there? Now if our dog Jimmy tried that, I'd have no bench left or anything else for that matter. 1 2
