  1. Thanks. But everyone can do this as the interest in a certain subject is addictive. Spent some time shaping the taboo track. Only finishing off to do next. just remove what is not needed. Cees
  2. Only the dorsal and tailturrets Gus, The dorsal version is the earlier FN7, or egg shaped turret as used on the early Stirling and Sunderland. The tail is the FN4 also used on the Whitley. These have to be completely newmade using crashforming. Never done that before so if anyone has any tips, feel free to spread the word. Cees
  3. Hi Tom, Good to see you here. Very nice livery. That Horten looks ready to do business. Cees
  4. I do, when I did the 1/48 conversion I could never have thought a 1/32 Lancaster would be possible. Today I have sculpted the dorsal turret's taboo fairing. This was intended to prevent the gunner to shoot off his own tail. This is the rough shape using that wonderful milliput. Later this will be shaped to a shalllower profile. I noticed that this thread has a high number of views but relative few responses. Come on, if any of you have any tips or opinions don't be shy. Cheers Cees
  5. The only problem is when they keep changing their minds the release date keeps on slipping. Cees
  6. 2016 is definately the goal for release. Cees
  7. Yes please You got those tyre measurements from the manual I sent you recentely? Cees
  8. Repairing the undercarriage. This is the Lancasters full assembly as they were similar apart from the smaller tyres. One attachment point remains missing. The search is on. Cees
  9. Nice work on the fins, didn't realize they are so much bigger than the Lanc/Lincoln. Cees
  10. I like those streaks on the undersurface, very realistic. Cees
  11. Hi Tom, That is plan B. Plan A is not yet available. Has the parcel arrived? Cees
  12. Two sawn off sections from ballpoint pens glued together, and the rest a mass of milliput. Cees
  13. As a comparison, here is the 1/48 scratch conversion using a Tamiya Lancaster I did a few years ago. Cees Which ended up looking like this:
  14. You seem to have a lot of things you don't even know you have. But that is a pleasant surprise when needed. Cees
  15. Never, ever do what I do. That will only bring trouble! Cees
  16. Both wings fitted to check dihedral. There is a 2mm difference. I can live with that. This is a big model. That's a 20cm ruler and an a3 cutting mat. The wings remain detachable at the root. Thanks to the very clever attachmentpoints HK Models provided. Hopefully the Lancaster kit will have them too. Cees
  17. To be a firm unit till dissolving of the glue do thee seperate. Cees
  18. Marek, I certainly hope it is not your last build, that looks great. I always love Mustangs in RAF camouflage from Polish units. Cees
  19. Certainly not overweathered. Fantastic result. Cees
