  2. The seat back was painted with Tamiya "Leather". The edges are drybrushed with Tamiya "sand" . After that, the seat has been accented with a dark brown oil broth. The seat was sealed at the end with Tamiya "semi-clear". Now only missing the seat belts, some weathering - and done. Servus Bertl
  3. Now it continues with the seat of our Eindekker. The wooden board was primed with Gunze "radomes" and shaded with white, yellow and smoke. The wood grain was presented with "raw sienna" and "burnt sienna" oil color. I wanted to represent the seat itself as an aluminum sheet. I turned to my usual technique for this. Here the link: http://forum.largescalemodeller.com/topic/1895-aluminum/After The polished aluminum seat reflects the light. Note the different reflections at different angles. Servus Bertl

  13. That looks good in my eyes. Many original pictures show a very poor paint quality on the Japanese aircraft. I'm allways a friend from "aged" ore "used" look on the modells. BUT,............................... the red line on the Wing on the Zero must also be shown exfoliated. The red color was placed OVER the green paint. When the green paint was chipped, then the red line can not remain visible on the bare metal. Servus Bertl

  16. ..................and here two small updates for today. First, the test for the fastening ropes on the cowl. This is a 0,12mm fishingline, painted with a mix of 80% Alu and 20% NATO-black. For final mounting, I think I will use a 0.8 mm fishing line. Servus Bertl

  21. Oh, you mean these parts, Michael ..................................................... long long time ago. I think I still have some of these parts. I think I'm going to try different things, but I will present the result and show what technique I used. @Guy5Y: Thank you, Guy. @Ssasho0: Sasho, yes, I used a Resinsaw. This saw allows very thin and straight saw cuts. @James H: I used a "Höhenanreißer" for those recesses. Unfortunately, I don't know the English word for it, but I think these pictures explain how I did it. Servus Bertl
