  1. I hope they stick with WW.1. Yeah, WW2 as well, but keep WW1 as the core.
  2. Think about this folks. Wingnut Wings is taking their quality into the WW2 scene. A truly surreal feeling this is.
  3. Happy dance y’all! Happy, happy, happy!
  4. No pictures yet, but Wingnut Wings has announced a new 1/32 scale Lancaster kit. Dambusters and a B.1 and a B.lll! More to follow. Pics when available! Kit is in development now for possible release in 2019. This news is absolutely HUGE guys. God Save the Queen!
  5. Russia couldn’t crack the place in the 70s, and we can’t now. To me, it’s nothing but a pimple on the south side of a northbound dog.
  6. I’m way too old to have dealt with the pesky place called Asscrackistan, but we had our own special places in the early 80s, like Cyprus and especially the Golan. But I did have the (dis)honor of training the very first Canadian casualty over there. Not cool. For the rest of you dogfaces, thank you for your Service, including my former Warsaw Pact friends during the early 80s, it’s so much better meeting over Famous Grouse or Stolichnaya. You kept us all employed for years.
  7. Yup. I had asked him 3 months ago to see if he could bring it in. I edited where it came from. He texted me this morning and put a couple aside for me. Get this stuff if you build resin. It’s bloody awesome epoxy.
  8. Perp walk? Siiting on the pavement or faceplant?
  9. That 2800 looks absolutely real in every way.
  10. As long as they’re Mk.V and Mk.Vl... Plus the F6F, P-47, and P-38
  11. The more I think about it, the more I think I might get arrested if I go to Cali. I frighten people. A few ex girlfriends there too. (Gulp)
  12. Not on the 46, no. The Invader had water injection.
  13. Props full forward will get you that tip snarl. But it’s bloody loud inside. You pull them back as soon as 500ft rolls across the dial. Then instead of actually hurting, now it’s just stupid loud. Pull them back more for a cruise climb and it’s pretty darn sweet. In wartime, they’d push over 50 inches on takeoff. In civilian life, mid 40s was plenty.
  14. OK, how do you tell when you’re done building a “garage resin” kit? When you look around and realize there are no more parts left to fit. Everything’s just fitted together without glue, just friction. I’m actually making this harder than I need to because I’m using a lot of AM and getting it to fit is tough
  15. Tony, you can spend hundreds on extras for this kit. The interior is “basic”to say the least. Invest in AMS props and weighted wheels for sure.
  16. Yeah, a couple 2800s at full bark 30ft from your head will make a guy run...
  17. I had a bunch of Caribou run out on the runway in front of me once, just as I was getting ready to flare. Poured on the coal, went over them at 30ft maybe, came around again, no Caribou...
  18. Jeff, you only need a single axle dump to move a moose? Y’all sure grow them small up there. Out in Maine, it’s at least a tandem dump, but usually a low boy works best.
  19. Oh boy! Another clinic to show me how it’s done!
  20. Especially from me, right. As you know, I have so much other stuff in my life it’s insane.
  21. That would be a major rebuild, yes. I really hope Trumpetboss engineers this correctly. I’ve always thought that if they give us a solid center section: wing and center fuselage unit with plug in nose and tail, if they just do a basic D and J, then the aftermarket could fill in the rest. Different noses, tails, even engines, depending on your fancy. If approached right, this could be one seriously useable base for some crazy kitbashing.
  22. This is looking awesome so far! A great choice of subject to be sure, and let’s face it, Rudel was one seriously fierce warrior who took an obsolete old airplane and made it a contender again. following this one with interest.
