That Clunk, if the spar hasn’t been cut, would be only one of two or three like that. The one at WPAFM and, I believe, Duxford? Being the only Clunks not to have been neutered. The logistics old be insane! TWO Orendas, instead of just the one Orenda for the Sabre, plus twice as much of everything. But having the ONLY flying CF-100 anywhere in the world would be one serious chest puffer-outer.

Peter, you have a worldwide extended family right here. We’re with you, man, 100% of the way.

No, but we get by. Most of us are amateur survivalists so we won’t die immediately. We can hunt for food, melt snow to drink, etc.

Joy and I are in a hotel. Power out at the house and shop so we got a room close to the shop. Grabbed a SOD build to pick away at.

Very, VERY happy you’re home again, Peter! We were all concerned, to the point of checking pool companies to see if anyone heard from you. But all’s week that ends well, right? An F-16 is a great place to start, they’re a nice building kit and we’re certainly passing along all good thoughts, positive waves, and prayers. You’ll beat it, my friend

Got a text from Harv’s wife Bev earlier today. They’re visiting family in California and Harv suffered a mild heart attack and is in the hospital now and they’re running some tests He’s stable and the prognosis is good, so keep him in your prayers.

Good to have you, Mark. I’m glad Fran was able to get you all set up.

No, unfortunately it won’t. I have those and the Revell as well. Tried them all, but PCM only will fit. The size is the same, it’s just a different style hood for the very early 190s.
-
I agree. I have them both as well and I’m much liking the lower parts count. I taped mine together though andid say watch that wing to fuselage join.
-
Awesome looking build, Krow. I actually like their Hurri better than the Fly kit.
-
My canopy of the 190 is cracked and I’ve been trying without success to get a replacement from Loic.
-
They are excellent kits if you’re willing to go slow and fit stuff together. I’m half way through a short nose 190 and it takes a fair bit of sanding and fitting, but it’s a super accurate looking machine

Sounds like lacquer, the way it stinks, Tony

I've used Alclad and have had really decent results, but yeah, it's fragile. I'd like to try AK Extreme Metals and see how they work... As an aside, I used Mission Models Paint for the NMF on my Lanc, and absolutely LOVED it. It's water based, you apply it over a white finish, and looks phenomenal when done. I find it looks more realistic than some of the Over-The-Top-Shiny products like Alclad. A nice semi matte sheen to it.

Holy Schnakkers, Batman! What a project. Krow, you're kicking proverbial arse, man....

I Yes, it looks like there ARE drastic differences between the two. Apparently, the F rear panel was a virtual duplicate of the front because it was used as a trainer. But,... the EF-105F wasset up as an ECM bird so the rear pit should be closer to that of the G? F on top, G on the bottom in color Hmmmmmmm- 41 replies

Tony, that’s the only picture I’ve ever seen of a depressed refueling door. I’m sure it’s just not quite closed, because if you notice, both the refueling probe for the drogue and the recessed door for the flying boom receptacle are slightly open. And yes, if you look at the kit plastic, that hole is represented on the kit as a depressed circular area, much like an ejector pin mark.- 41 replies

I haven’t found any pics at all of the F rear pit, Mark. I’m certain it’s less advanced as the G, but who knows for sure? But,.. the search continues.- 41 replies

One thing guys, Trumpeter’s attention to detail,.... isn’t. The vents below the refueling probe are just depressions on the Trumpy Kit. Drill out Theron d one and install a pipe, and openthe vent on the other one. . Go over the entire aircraft and compare to pictures. Much is missing or incorrectly depicted on the kit. A bit of work now gives huge rewards later.- 41 replies
