  1. Harald, if you get go DFW, give me a holler. Tony and I both might be able to do lunch. We have a favorite burger/beer joint. Been trying to get Karim here, but be never gets here..
  2. Right now. The LSM forum?
  3. Yeah, I was just seeing if I could do it, but thanks, my friend!!
  4. Tony, you set yourself up for that one with the Oral-B comment. But yeah, Red and yellow make little to no sense if you're trying to hide from prying eyes. One thing I will say, though is that how effective that German mauve/purple is at camo. It's uncanny how that lozenge camo pattern like that will disappear in European fields. And in 1917, there were a whole lot more fields, and a whole lot less industry.

  6. Yeah, I'm reshaping the rear fuselage and the transition from the wing to the fuselage. We had a very slight printing error, which means many hours of sanding and building back up. I WILL have a fairly solid update on this on the weekend. I'm trying a 1340 out of a Kitty Hawk T-6, but I'm afraid I'll need to get the Vector engine to give me more detail in behind, which is invisible in the T-6
  7. I’m not sure your builds suck there, Mr Nats Champ! As far as stinky breath, I don’t think it was your breath I was smelling....
  8. I’m feeling something like this....
  9. And those of us with 50 ft of structure sticking out each side get nervous below 2000 ft. We cant stop on a dime like y’all!
  10. Ok, found the G-set, but so far no Weasel missiles and pylons. And no F-set. They’re here, just need to dig ‘em out. Also need to find a Master pitot, Quickboost refueling probe, resin wheels, and G-Faktor gear. This might be doable.... maybe
  11. Well, I took stock of my Thud good it’s and found these stuffed away. I think Aires will work better for me, but BB is pretty decent stuff, too. Eli’s decal sheet is a huge, huge bonus, so.....
  12. I just fell and broke my......! holy Schnacknackers, Batman!
  13. Did you get one of the family sedan versions from Paul when he was still up and running?
  14. that's astronomically fabulously awesome in every way imaginable! WOW!!!
  15. Chipping is good, when done in a way that follows reason. Wingwalk areas seem pristine, yet just regular airframe areas are tore to pieces. I can appreciate the effort a person puts into a build, and I'm probably the worst offender of all when it comes to failing to break up monotony of color, but I'd rather have to little modulation than too much.
  16. Tony, I've always said that you never see a GOOD build on a Thud at the local shows. They all seem to look like they were done by a 5 year old and painted with a toothbrush.
  17. Smitty, that's looking great! Everybody LOVES a Thud. I'm so blown away by this! Smitty, as you and Tony both know, I have a two seater all teed up to be built as either an F or a G, I'm just not sure which version yet. I somehow ended up with both Super Sets from Gary, along with all the Wild Weasel armament he sells, but I had my heart set on a NMF bird and the G only flew in standard SEA camo. I still need an Aires cockpit yet and probably a better burner can, but other than that I could be full steam ahead as well. I'm really looking forward to seeing the original Belle and the Belle ll come to life here. Rock On, Man!!
  18. A Caucasian Ovcharka, or Caucasian Sheepdog. Very loyal, loving and protective of family, but need to be firmly and properly trained. Like the Great Pyrenees like my son raises, they are super aloof and independent, super loving of their family, and brutal towards intruders. Thgey need room to run, and naturally will patrol an area for threats. With coyotes, cougars, bobcats, wild hogs, and other predators quite rampant in my area, a dog like this is highly valued.
  19. And they eat the evidence
  20. Martin, you should love these big old babies. You’re a sucker for big dogs
  21. I need a dog. We have some open space, over three acres, and we are starting to get some intruders sneaking around, jumping 6 ft high fences, etc., so maybe a nice puppy who will keep Joy and I safe while loving us like few dogs can. I have some experience with this breed... there are none better.
  22. The Bash Brothers. Martin and Smitty.
  23. The only builds I finish these days are builds I do for others :/ Well, I DID do the P.11C last year
  24. It appears to me that I he stick is indeed offset go port, so yes, there must be a second jumpseat available. So, from what I can see is the power controls below the fuel tank selector panel on the port side, magneto selectors on the starboard did are above a Bosch Spark booster, a fire extinguisher bracket on the firewall, and I’m still trying to figure out the black ball lever hanging under the cross tube/torque tube. Could it be the clutch control for the inertia starter? On second thought, it’s probably the wheel brakes. I expect it’ll be cable or rod actuated, just like a Model A Ford car. That makes more sense. The starter engage is probably up On top behind the engine with the hand crank. A very simple cockpit assembly, and pretty much stage of the art for 1929. Quite the basic panel, but RNAV wasn’t quite in vogue yet.
