  1. Scott …. That rendition was HILARIOUS. I laughed until I was nearly crying. It was so good I read it to ‘my’ Super Gramma as we are at our son and daughter in laws with 4 kids and two dogs. Day 6 of 10 plus tow days on each end of travel which is 4 airports and 4 different airplanes. I feel your pain buddy😎🤣🤣🤣
  2. Thanks Carl. Hard to get it there but easy to maintain if you keep up with it. I have about 16 hours into it.
  3. I was really happy to get these done too as they pick up so much dirt and grime. Even got the dirt off the frame rails. And dished up the tail pipes some. She is getting there..
  4. Did a little spring cleaning last week, this is the reflection of my 93 in the door of the roadster.
  5. Back to the flap question. These are what I have on my car. This is what I was referring to I said unobtrusive
  6. Jaw dropper, Rob ! That is SO cool, and superbly well done !! I am VERY impressed Jeff
  7. I think I might actually know this pilot, it is possibly a fellow I went to Cadets with WAY back in the day............. wish I could read his name tag.... would be cool if it read Craig Hallowell, sure looks like it could be... he flew in the first Gulf War then retired shortly there after and was on 747's for Cathay Pacific.... sorry for the deviation, Phil, but this could be really cool... Jeff
  8. Looks like they were working just fine from where I sit. Paint looks great.
  9. Brilliant ideas and execution. That looks spectacular. As I mentioned this is turning into a show stopper. Time for me to take all my trucks, pile them in the drive way and back over them with my Tahoe. This is really good stuff and I really like the trees. I eagerly await the next instalment. Jeff
  10. So Cathy had to whip to town this morning and grabbed the mail on the way home , and hands me a box addressed to me. I got the “ whats this now” ? Question. And for once I had no idea and no fake answer. 🤔 I felt safe as it was too light for a bomb, I opened it and it was full of goodies from my buddy in Cowtown Alberta. Truck and car stuff. Air filters, huge Donaldson Air cleaners for the big iron, mirrors, exhaust stack covers , air horns, brake boosters and winches all aftermarket 3d printed. Out of the clear blue sky it came to me. This is more of the generosity I was talking about when I started this thread. Martin, you are way too generous , THANK YOU my friend. This kind of thing blows my mind. Amazing thoughtfulness. Jeff
  11. You sure are doing a GREAT job of 'massaging' the fit issues with this kit, I have heard some stories that it is almost 'unbuildable', but this is quickly becoming a show stopper ! I still say that fact that you moved the F/A forward has set the balance of this to look much more realistic, she is really looking the part of a heavy off road logger...... I'm totally impressed and am waiting on the edge of my chair for the next installment..... excellent job so far ! Jeff
  12. I know that it is not my call, but I put on a beautiful custom fit set on my roadster and they look stock, and are hardly visible....and any sand blasting will be very visible on a dark color, and would, in my mind detract from a clean sharp ride.... keep me posted on what you decide.... inquiring minds want to know ... 😉
  13. Just wondering ( and I probably already know the answer) are you contemplating some small unobtrusive flaps behind those big boots to prevent the sand blasting effect on the rear 1-4’s and front fenders? Not sure a paint blasting to a dull grey would look so great on nice clean ride like this one. Just some small black ones that blend in. Maybe custom fit ones? Jeff
  14. Ron , this is quickly becoming an epic build. Those steel armor tires are what this kit calls for to be sure. Personally I always thought the F/A was too far back and made the tuck look unbalanced. The fact that you moved it forward made a HUGE difference to my eyes and is now looking much more like a real set back. Excellent call and an outstanding up date. I also love the fact that you de-chromed a lot of this kit. That takes the toy like look away and makes it look far more like the real deal.Your log looks amazing! I LOVE this. Jeff
  15. Right on Ron. I love your vision and where this is heading. Heavy off road haulers is an open canvas. There are so many variations to what is and what could be. This has all the ear marks of a fabulous result. I will look forward to your engineering on the repairs required for this kit. Your skills will shine here. Can’t wait for the next update. I will be taking notes for future repairs I may have to endure. Keep on truckin , buddy! Jeff
  16. looks like a 1987 Pete 362 Cabover, to me....
