  1. I was very excited to pick up this giant decal set for the Mirage 5/50 and IAI Nesher, it has 13 different aircraft and they will soon be releasing the complimentary resin conversion pieces soon.
  2. Also, for those that don’t want to spend $400, they will have just the nose section of the lanc available with a stand. I’m guessing the price will be about the same as the small singles.
  3. For space savings, you can fold the wings, that makes these more “doable” for those that only have a bookshelf, as this thing folded takes up the space of 3-4 single engine fighters.
  4. Wow, I remember that guy, he was calling one of his people an idiot while they were packing up because he took decals out of one box to put in another, he put the empty box on his head and told him to wear it. I almost asked him for a deal on one kit, but decided not to.
  5. Sorry that happened, a judge should write a note on the paper, saying it was damaged in judging, and I did see a few notes while setting awards at the tables. On the other hand, my helo was damaged too, they moved it to another table, broke off an antenna, and pushed two more into the tail boom, and nobody made an notes on my paper, but at least those antennas drew blood (.005 piano wire, ouch)!
  6. I will never buy anything from them again! Who am I kidding...I will be forking over my money for a British Phantom in a second, and all will be forgiven.
  7. I’m forwarding this screen shot to the local IPMS president, he is friends with most of the guys from Chattanooga. I think they need to ban this d**khead. i negotiated two kits from 120 down to $70, the lady was awesome and said she would rather have someone who will build it have them than have them sit around. It just goes to show that some get how business works, and others don’t. rule one...don’t an a$$hole!
  8. If I saw it I would have grabbed it. I got two of the rarer boxing’s of the Hasegawa P’47’s for $37.50 each though. My regret was not picking up a third.
  9. HK pulled a chicken shit stunt, and we fell for it. No new kit announcement.
  10. I have a question for the Nats veterans, since this is my first ever, do they let people know if they won anything before the awards ceremony? Or do you have to wait until the bitter end to find out? I am also wondering when you can start packing your models up? It says the show ends at 4:00, and the awards start at 7:15, can you start packing up between that time? Sorry for all the question, but I’m not sure how it all works.
  11. I only bought two Hasegawa P-47s, two books, and the the Wingnut figure vignettes. There were some things I was looking for, but I was finding things priced higher than I was willing to pay. I regret not buying the Wingnut Sopwith Triplane, maybe they will still have some left tomorrow.
  12. John, you need to come out, it’s not that far from you, only 8-10 hours
  13. Wow, this could be a winner! Go get it on a table!
  14. This setup is 33” wide, so it’s pretty good for multi engine fuselage, and/or an SU-27.
  15. The biggest issue is depth, I kept stuffing the tail of my helicopter into the filter. You just have to be careful when moving the model around.
  16. It’s only drawback is, it’s only big enough for single engine 1/32. When I paint bigger, I extend the bottom and sides with cardboard. However, if you get two, you can connect them! They even sell two packs.
  17. Sorry, didn't mean to do that, but I agree with you. I can only hope it’s an FR.1, I guess we should find out this weekend.
  18. I just realized I completely forgot the the main rotor center nut and hydraulic hose assembly.
  19. I paint in the house and use an Amazon hobby spray booth with an extractor hose going to a window.
  20. I think Ernie should enter this, it’s so damn impressive, it could win a popular vote.
  21. Thanks guys, but you guys turn out work that I am in awe of. Every build I aim to try something new, learn a technique or skill, or work with a new paint or material, and I usually learn these from reading your builds.
  22. Glad to see it made it to the table. Now go enjoy the show!
  23. So here is what I’m thinking, reading their own words, a new Lanc would not be “all new tooling”. So could it be a C-47? JU-88? Nope, it’s going to be a British Phantom! Just go to their webpage, two of the 3 header pictures show FG-1’s. I’m going to put money on it!
  24. Here is a period photo of a tank that appears to be different from the other two, no seam visible.
  25. Sorry, posted the wrong fuel tank picture. Here is the right one. The horizontal tank seems to appear more on -3 Hellcats, but not sure.
