Another one done! Essentially OOB except I replaced the kit guns with hollow tubing. Painted with Alclad for the NMF, Testor's Blue for the trim, and Mr. Color for the invasion stripes. It was a fun build and I hope y'all like it.

Thank you! Very much appreciated. -
Thank you Peter. The wings/fuselage mated up very nicely. Only a smidgen of Vallejo plastic putty needed. Wish they all fit that well!

Thanks Harv!

Thanks Rob. Yep, I had to do a little "adjusting" there also but the flap hinges gave me fits. I couldn't much tell heads or tails of the instructions. 🤪

Thanks Martin. I hadn't seen those before.Good to have.

Mr. Color but only for the invasion stripes. The rest are Testor's enamel and Alclad.

Thanks Chris for the kind words. Since all the parts for the cockpit came in the kit all I had to do was paint and do some weathering. Even the seat belts are OOB (Eduard PE prepainted). The prop tips are a combination of paint and decaling. The yellow tip itself is paint. The yellow/black stripes I made using strips of yellow decal paper with the thin black part from a MicroScale HO decal sheet of very thin black stripes which were just right for what I wanted to do. Those particular markings were correct for the Curtiss Electric paddle blade props. I too like the blue coloring on the model and that's one reason I decided go with that scheme. If I could have found decals for Tallahassee Lassie I would have done that one but I think this one will do okay.

Thank you Peter. I have the rest of the model primed and ready for the NMF. Tomorrow!

Thanks Martin. I agree, Hasegawa is the way to go if you want a good kit of a P-47D. Too bad they don't have a razorback and a "N".

LOL Thanks Phil. This kit is really a easy build (except for the strange flap hinges which I found to have a bit of a cuss factor. Mostly due to poor instructions.) Painting will likely be the most time consuming part of the build.

Thank you Peter. The acrylics do have a "nice" smell and that's one reason I've decided to use them more although for NMF I'll stick with the Alclad colors, smell and all. LOL

Thanks! I appreciate that. -
This is why I hate tiny models. Or how do I do this?

Looks like one of those high cuss factor things.......🤪 -
Thank you Carl. Any thing to make it easier and negate the cuss-factor. LOL

Today I decided to apply the invasion stripes under the wings before attaching them to the fuselage. Easier to handle, etc. I'll apply the under fuselage one's later today. (I don't usually use acrylics but those Mr. Color paints I used for the stripes sure did behave well. I think I will begin to use them more in future. I was a bit disappointed in the MM acrylics.)

Thanks. You would be glad you did!

You are too kind! LOL🙄

Thank you Peter. This is such a EASY kit to build it just doesn't demand a lot of time to "adjust" something, etc. Nearly a shake and bake! LOL

Thanks Kevin.
