  1. Thanks Mike. Not a slam dunk for sure with lots of masking, etc. I'm glad to have it done!
  2. Finished with this one. https://forum.largescalemodeller.com/topic/18763-fisher-f9f-twogar-done/
  3. All done with this one. I have to say it was not a easy build with several problems with fit and warped parts. Pretty much normal for a short run resin kit. Better than some, worse than others. I painted it with Tamiya Gloss White, Testor's Dark Gull Gray and my own "mix" for the International Orange (my bottle of IO had dried up). Decals are kit decals and some from my decal stash. I hope y'all like it. Remember, click on the 1st photo for best resolution and to view as a slide show. (This holds true for all the model posts here.)
  4. Thank you Paul. It sure is a flashy sucker isn't it? LOL
  5. Thanks Gaz. I'm just about done with decaling so I hope to finish it up in a day or so.
  6. Thank you Carl. I still have the leading edges to paint the coroguard so I will still cross my fingers.
  7. Painting completed and NO peel offs! 😀 (Still have to do the Coroguard leading edges.)
  8. You are welcome Martin. Thanks.
  9. Thank you Peter. There is a LOT of masking needed on this one. I just hope everything stays put!
  10. For what it's worth I usually prime the model with Testor's flat white or light gray. I use them as a alternate to Alclad Gray Primer and Micro Filler at times as I've had some peel off problems with the Alclad sometimes. After you apply the primer and letting it dry thoroughly it's usually safe to start spraying your NMF (I use Alclad aluminum and dark aluminum usually). Be sure and give the coats plenty of drying time between applications. I usually wait a couple of hours which works fine. This is a KISS method but it works for me and I hope you get something from it.
  11. Status right now. I still have the under wing IO to spray then I can see about the gloss white.
  12. My fingers and toes are crossed that there will be NO peel off, etc. I've now applied most of the Int. Orange and the red intakes and will soon apply the rest of the I. O. then hit it with the black walkways and anti glare area. Lots of masking involved so I'll be sweating it out! 🙄
  13. Primed with Testor's flat white and ready for the gloss white and international orange. I added some pegs on the flaps to give them some additional holding power.
  14. If that's the case then I have a heck of a head start!!!!!😂
  15. Are they ever Carl. It's funny, I've broken the one on the right several times but never the one on the left. Fingers crossed!!!!!
  16. Thank you Peter. Yes indeed, I cussed it into shape! LOL I plan to spray some flat white as a primer and then do some tests to be sure there's no peel-off. Fingers and toes crossed.
