  1. Thanks Carl. After the kit show up I'll look it over, etc.
  2. Should be a really nice kit!
  3. I decided to go on and get one. Pretty fair price on ebay $48.00 + free shipping. Now that I've done that just watch Tamiya, ZM or somebody announce a new one.
  4. I'm not damning Trumpeter kits at all. I just think it's a good idea to do some research before forking out your money. I've built the Razorback P-47, the TBM-3 and the SBD-3 and all were great.
  5. Built it several times.😀
  6. Sad but true Peter. 😐
  7. I guess I'd just have to see one built Harv. Thanks.
  8. Thanks for the feedback Carl. Looks like more than I want to have to contend with so I'll pass on getting one and keep my fingers crossed Tamiya, ZM or someone will give us a new, accurate, one. Thanks again!!!
  9. I'm considering getting one and would like some opinions please. Good kit, mediocre, ??? Heavy rivet detail, etc? Thanks!!!
  10. Wow! That's taking things to the next level! Nice work.
  11. Looking good Mark.
  12. Thanks Mark, I'm glad you like it.
  13. Thanks Rob! I appreciate that!
  14. LOL Rob! I keep a good supply on hand. Thanks!!!
  15. Thank you Mark!
  16. And I appreciated the belts too!
  17. LOL Peter. Thanks! Those belts are the plastic Fine Molds belts. All you have to do to them is, using some tweezers, hold them up to a hot light bulb and warm 'em up. THEN you can bend them to shape, etc.
  18. Yes children, ANOTHER Corsair build. LOL I had started this build last year but set it aside to finish "later". Now is "later". I want to do a overall GSB a/c that isn't too heavily weathered. Either a carrier borne a/c or maybe a Marine one on Okinawa. At this point none are set in stone but one that I like is "Skipper's Orchid". I just ordered the decals from Fine Art of Decals so I guess this is the one I will do. 😀
  19. Thanks Hubert! I'm glad you like it. I wanted to do something a little unusual and those markings filled that bill nicely.
  20. Thanks Rob! I will certainly keep that in mind if I decide to try them.
  21. Thank you Ernie. I too have several on the SOD and the Corsair I'm getting back to is/was one of them! Started it a good while back and got no further than the cockpit. That gives me a good head start on the resumption of the build.
  22. YES, another Corsair.
  23. No sense in hurrying to build it just because it's new, etc. What is it they say? All things come to those who wait? Maybe so we will see. LOL
  24. Agreed and that is why I will delay building this one for a while.
