  1. Very true. My box came from Sprue Bros. and DID have ample "peanuts".
  2. Thanks Jeff. I'll let y'all know how things go.
  3. Outstanding work. I've built this kit and it isn't a easy build. High cuss-factor, etc. Yours is very well done!
  4. Probably from shoving other boxes against it.
  5. When I first saw the box I figured the plastic was broken but was surprised to find it wasn't. Lucked out on this one!
  6. Delivered via UPS to USPS then to me which makes the culprit one or the other. Received this a couple of days ago. Thankfully the Taska 1/35 Pz Mk. III inside was unharmed.
  7. Painting done. Decals are next. Love that glossy Xtracolor!
  8. THANKS guys for your concern. Very much appreciated. Sandman is all painted and ready for decals. Pics later today.
  9. I'm about as ready as I can be except I need to go to the store and get some more Friskies for my critters. LOL After that it'll just be a waiting and hoping game.
  10. Not something I look forward to! Fingers crossed.
  11. Will do Bill! Right now it's sunny and hot. Wish it would stay that way!
  12. Supposed to be a Cat 1 when it reaches us here in NW Louisiana. Very unusual! I hope they are wrong.
  13. Thanks Carl! Fingers crossed!
  14. Thanks Jeff. If my power goes out I have enough generator power to run most things, some lights, fridge, TV and window a/c. It's just a pita to do all that and then have to undo it all afterwards. Still, I wouldn't be without a generator for all the Trumpeter kits in China! LOL
  15. The forecasters are telling us that the hurricane in the Gulf will eventually have a near direct hit on my area Thursday (NW Louisiana). By then it should just be a tropical storm with 50-60 mph winds and lots of rain. NOT something I look forward to! But, as they say, use the 7 P's (proper prior planning prevents piss poor performance). So I have been recharging the starter battery on my generator and getting my gas cans refilled, etc. I sincerely hope I won't need it but if I do it'll be ready to go.
  16. Thanks Gaz! I think it will turn out just fine.
  17. Thanks! It's too bad the big 'un just isn't up to snuff without some fixes and after market goodies. I wouldn't buy one for that reason plus too big and too costly.
  18. Ready for priming and paint.
  19. Thanks Phil. THAT would be nice!
  20. Looking like a 1/72 B-24 now. Next will be the addition of the clear parts then a primer overcoat.
