Finished. Check RFI.

All done with this one. The art and photos I have show it in a very weathered condition. I didn't want to do that so I made it as it might look before all the weathering. Just some moderate weathering, etc. After market includes Barracudacast wheels and Kagero decals. Painted with Xtracolor. I replaced the kit exhaust stubs with some from a Hasegawa P-40. I think they are a bit more accurate. Bear with me while I get used to my new camera! I hope y'all like it.

Thank you Harv. I think my new camera will work out just fine.

Thanks Martin.

I replaced the kit exhausts with some from the Hasegawa P-40. The kit exhausts appear to me to bee slightly over-size. I think the P-40 ones look much better. Still a little touching up needed.

Thank you. I finally got tired of trying to get my old camera to work properly so I "bit the bullet" and bought a new one. Seems to be okay.

Thanks Ron.

Thanks Carl. The 2 photos I have show it really weathered but I don't plan to do that. Moderation.

Enamels. That's about all I ever use except in a pinch.

Thanks Carl. Credit goes to Xtracolor on this one. Great paint.

As of today. Decaling is next. (I have been adjusting and readjusting my camera settings, etc but still not a satisfactory improvement).

Well, as they say, "If momma ain't happy then nobody is happy!"

Since I've been single now for a number of years I thankfully don't have that problem anymore. (And buying kits was NOT the cause for the divorce.)
-
Thanks for your input.

My camera is something like 15 years old. And I usually use macro mode. Still taking different approaches to try to get better photos. Time will tell!

Thanks! I hate to have to go back and "fix" something that I screwed up. Too nice a kit to put it aside, etc.

Good looking Spitfires.
-
Mo betta I think! Note to self: Next time you build a Tamiya Spitfire leave off the side panels until after the nose section is attached to the fuselage.
-
True but I elected to remove the side panel (thank goodness for debonder). After cleanup I will re-attach it, etc. Fingers crossed.
-
Here is how it looks after application of primer. Pretty piss poor if I do say so myself! I'm undecided if I should try to remove the side cowling and risk buggering it up or just leave it as is. I'm leaning toward trying to remove it and re-fitting, etc. We'll see.

Could be. I don't remember having so much trouble with my earlier builds. But I've slept since then LOL.

Thanks Jeff. It had me cussing for a while there LOL.
