  1. Looks like it's coming right along . I'm considering building that a/c too as it really appeals to me. I have the decals ordered so I'll have to do some research on it. I don't know if you know it but there is a book named "Wet Wings and Drop Tanks" concerning this bird. I just ordered a copy on Amazon. Whenever you get the prop blades sorted out I might want to get a set from you if you don't mind doing that. Keep up the good work!!!
  2. And this fits into this thread how may I ask?????
  3. I might rethink the color scheme on this. Dk. yellow, brown and dk. green might be better. We will see.
  4. I plan to go very easy on rust. Mostly mud and dirt with a bit of wear.
  5. Whatchu mean WE Ernie?! I never built any of those monster kits, etc. LOL Airplanes, tanks and ships from day 1. Built my first one, a Aurora Me-109 in red plastic, when I was 6.
  6. Thanks! Windex I have on hand so I'll give it a try.
  7. I plan to use some MIG pigments on this build and have the needed colors on hand and ordered. What do you armor guys use as a "fixer"? And is it really necessary? Thanks in advance.
  8. Thanks! The only one I'd really be interested in is the 1/24 Hellcat. Those big ol' bomber models are just way too big unfortunately.
  9. Sounds good! Can you enumerate?
  10. Only 200? LOL I'm 71 and have 300 plus but I'm not worrying if I can build 'em all (which would be a mission impossible).
  11. Looks that way unfortunately.
  12. I'm disappointed that neither Tamiya or Hasegawa had any 1/32 WW II a/c displayed. I wonder if that market has faded but I wouldn't think so. Bummer!
  13. My intention is to have them clean as a basis then I'll dirty 'em up.
  14. Spray the dk. yellow then hand paint the black rims. Tedious but I've found it to be the best way.
  15. Getting all the road wheels painted. A bit tedious but necessary.
  16. It will stay "as dug up" Jeff. It goes well with two others I have in the same condition.
  17. While not really model related it IS interesting. I got this German helmet from a fella in Latvia. Arrived today in "good" condition. If only it could talk! Makes a nice addition to my militaria collection.
  18. Now that I've cleaned up all the little molding tabs it's time to hit it with a dk. yellow base coat.
  19. Thanks! Some good info there. Right now I'm planning on the one for PzAbt 502 in Estonia. White camo.
  20. As a primarily aircraft modeler I'm not as well versed on the details, etc of armor models. That said, when I decide to build a armor kit I try to do plenty of research so, hopefully, I build it "right". I'm still in the very early stages of this build so we will see how it goes.
