    While not really model related it IS interesting. I got this German helmet from a fella in Latvia. Arrived today in "good" condition. If only it could talk! Makes a nice addition to my militaria collection.

    Now that I've cleaned up all the little molding tabs it's time to hit it with a dk. yellow base coat.

    As a primarily aircraft modeler I'm not as well versed on the details, etc of armor models. That said, when I decide to build a armor kit I try to do plenty of research so, hopefully, I build it "right". I'm still in the very early stages of this build so we will see how it goes.

    You did a great job on it. I've been busy removing the plethora of molding tabs and cleaning all that up. I hope to get started on building and pre-painting this weekend. If I remember correctly, interiors on German panzers were a rusty red color or a whiteish ivory color. Correct me if I'm wrong!

    Thanks Gaz. I figure at that point in time the a/c weren't showing a lot of wear, etc so I decided to go subtle on this build. A little paint wear and some exhaust stains only.
