  1. This one has been calling my name ever since I bought it so now I'm going to get with the program and build it. A truly magnificent kit . My plan is to build it as a a/c from RCAF number 418 squadron with black undersides. Thanks go out to Carl for providing the needed decals. I'm starting to paint the grey-green interior parts for now.
  2. Yes it is!
  3. I agree 100%!!!!
  4. Thanks Carl! It's not shown on their website so I guess they never redid it. If you aren't going to use "Daisey Mae" I'd take those off your hands. As I want to do a black undersides a/c those ought to fill the bill! PM on the way my friend.
  5. I would like to do a 418 Mossie but the only decal sheets I have found are 1/24 and 1/48. Of course I need 1/32. I just don't understand why they didn't do it in 1/32 also. As a alternate I could build it as a night fighter but haven't found any decals for that either
  6. How about the Tamiya FB Mk VI Mosquito?!!!! I have always liked the FB versions better than the bombers so I think that is what I will do. I have it out and looked over the sprues and really think it will fill the bill for next up.
  7. I hate to say it but this one is back on the SOD. I just lost my enthusiasm for it and decided it would be best to put it on hold and come back to it at a later date. Undecided on what is next.
  8. What!!! No Honey Nut Cheerios???!!!
  9. Thanks Ron. The main gear wheel wells were underside color which was white. The gear doors, main and tail, were white also. Tail wheel interior would be green zinc chromate as would be the cockpit. I recommend you get a copy of Dana Bell's "F4U-1 Corsair Vol.2" Aircraft pictorials #8. Excellent info there.
  10. It's a nice kit but the cowling is fiddly. With some work and lots of patience it will go together okay. I built mine as a RLAF a/c used by the Ravens.
  11. Thanks Jeff. Making progress!
  12. Some of the cockpit done but these photos show up a couple of areas I need to address.
  13. I hope all goes well Carl!
  14. I'm still working on the cockpit but hope to have some photos soon.
  15. I just lost interest in the PV-1 for now. I intend to get back to it at some point.
  16. You have a LOT more patience than I have! I look forward to seeing this one finished.
  17. Certainly a BIG change from TOS. A breath of fresh air!
  18. It's on the shelf of "to return to later".
  19. We will see Phil. It is such a fine kit I'll have to take my time and a lot of care when building it. It's almost, but not quite, a sin to build it! LOL
  20. I would have to look over the sheet/subjects. Not sure which one right now. Edit: After checking I find I don't have 418 decal sheet in 1/48.
  21. I appreciate that Carl. Take care!
  22. I agree but I'm thinking of a black underside 418 squadron a/c if I can find decals in 1/32. I already have them in 1/48 so maybe I'll have to rescale them on my computer and print some using my laser printer. We'll see.
  23. Just perusing the kit and looking over all the nice details makes me want to make some plans as to which a/c to represent. I'll be ready when building time comes!
  24. Well hell Carl. I hope all goes well for you and you get back to building ASAP. Take care!
  25. I just received this Tamiya 1/32 Mosquito FB Mk VI. I am IMPRESSED!!! A outstanding kit that I know will make a outstanding model. I could kick myself for not getting one sooner. Better late than never though. If I wasn't right in the middle of my HK Mossie B Mk IV I would start this one right away.
