I decided to go ahead and do the medium sea grey/dk. green camo using Xtracolor paints. Good paint I must say. Now, if the bomb bay set shows up tomorrow I'll be ready to get it installed, etc. By the way, the wings are just temporarily in place with no glue whatsoever. I wish all my builds fit this good!

Yes indeed Peter. 🤪
-
All that extra work needed reminded me why I had originally put it aside. Getting the wings on was a frustrating thing but with some "creative engineering" I finally got them attached. 🤪

Making progress on this poor fitting model. Needs lots of CA, putty and sanding. I'll be glad when the Mossie bomb bay shows up (Monday).

Like I said Jeff, THAT JUST WOULD NOT DO! I feel for you!!! 🤪

While I'm waiting for the Mosquito bomb bay set to arrive I decided to pull this kit off the shelf and do some more work on it. I had started it some time back and this seems to be a good time to do a little more on it. I plan to use these AOA decals.

Now THAT just WOULD NOT DO!! Why so slow Jeff?

I've set it aside for the moment since to continue I'll need to have the set. It's been shipped so I hope it shows up Saturday 🤞.

Could be Peter. No real problems so far. 🤞

That's good to know. I'll check the canopy out.

Thanks Martin. I'll try to do it justice.

Being a Tamiya kit I figure everything will fit, etc. My intention is to build one of the markings included in the kit. Undecided right now on which one. 🙄 I hope it turns out well!

I think I'll jump in on this GB and build a 1/48 Mosquito NF. I've had the kit on the shelf for a good while so now is a good time to build it. I intend for it to be essentially OOB using kit decals, etc.

Thank you Peter. -
I had been working on this model off and on lately and just didn't post any WIP photos. I like those very late war schemes and when I saw the images of the decal sheet decided I wanted to do this one. After market items are a Barracudacast spinner and FineMolds belts. Otherwise it's OOB. The decals are by Aims. Painted with Testor's MM, Aeromaster, White Ensign and Tamiya.

Thank you Carl. It's something a bit different from the "usual" USN/MC a/c. I'm pleased that you like it! -

Completed this one today. Pretty much OOB except for FineMolds belts and some wiring on the engine. Painted with Tamiya, White Ensign Colourcoats, and Testor's MM. It's not the scheme I had originally plan to use but, due to some "technical difficulties" I decided on this one. I think it came out okay and I'm happy with it. I hope you like it.
