Could be Peter. No real problems so far. 🤞

That's good to know. I'll check the canopy out.
-
Thanks Martin. I'll try to do it justice.

Being a Tamiya kit I figure everything will fit, etc. My intention is to build one of the markings included in the kit. Undecided right now on which one. 🙄 I hope it turns out well!

I think I'll jump in on this GB and build a 1/48 Mosquito NF. I've had the kit on the shelf for a good while so now is a good time to build it. I intend for it to be essentially OOB using kit decals, etc.

Bf-109K-4 yellow 4
JohnB replied to JohnB's topic in LSM 1/32 and Larger Aircraft Ready for Inspection
Thank you Peter. -
I had been working on this model off and on lately and just didn't post any WIP photos. I like those very late war schemes and when I saw the images of the decal sheet decided I wanted to do this one. After market items are a Barracudacast spinner and FineMolds belts. Otherwise it's OOB. The decals are by Aims. Painted with Testor's MM, Aeromaster, White Ensign and Tamiya.

FAA Birdcage Corsair RFI

Thank you Carl. It's something a bit different from the "usual" USN/MC a/c. I'm pleased that you like it! -

Thanks. Something a little different for a change. I'm glad you like it! -
Finished with this one: https://forum.largescalemodeller.com/topic/20012-faa-birdcage-corsair-rfi/

Completed this one today. Pretty much OOB except for FineMolds belts and some wiring on the engine. Painted with Tamiya, White Ensign Colourcoats, and Testor's MM. It's not the scheme I had originally plan to use but, due to some "technical difficulties" I decided on this one. I think it came out okay and I'm happy with it. I hope you like it. Sky King's Songbird: Update: 3/2/24 - SOD .. BINNED
JohnB replied to Peterpools's topic in The Great Twins Broup Bluild
I agree with your decision Peter. When a build is like that there's no point in sticking with it. SOD it or bin it then move on to something else. Anything Tamiya or Hasegawa would be good. Preferably in 1/32. 🙄 -
Thanks Peter.

Thank you Paul. I had 2 of their Zero kits at one time and sold them. Japanese a/c usually aren't my cup of tea. I'm not completely ruling a Zero build out of the question but it won't be soon.
-
Painting complete except for some small touchup areas. This camo will take some getting used to on this a/c! 🙄
-
Since I changed subjects in mid build I had to change out the top cowling flap piece to reflect the correct layout. Luckily I didn't break anything!

Yes it is! I have the green applied on the uppers and will apply the grey next. We'll see how that looks. I'm sure it'll be quite different from the "usual"!
