I didn't think so either Peter and I just didn't want to fool with it. I'm glad I changed my mind.

LOL Peter. It sure DID have it's moments. Glad to have it finished thanks. Goes well with my other RLAF bird.

Thank you Mike. You described my feelings exactly. Always knocking something off, etc. Very aggravating! I likely will go back to it later on as I think I have too much work into it to just quit completely. We will see.

Finished with this one. https://forum.largescalemodeller.com/topic/19916-rlaf-t-28-done/

Got this one done with Hubert's help! He mailed me the needed gun pod pieces that I had somehow misplaced. This is my 2nd RLAF T-28 and possibly not my last! I used a Aires cockpit set to replace the sparse kit item. The seats are from my stash with the armored back plates are cut from sheet styrene. Painted with Colourcoats and Testor's. Decals are from AOA. I hope you like it!

Live and learn Kevin. Haven't built a ship in many years so it's like trying it all over again. It seemed like the right approach but it just didn't work out this time. Something to file away in my memory for whenever I decide to build another (or resume work on this one). 🤪

Thank you Peter. I'll be cross-eyed by the time I get this one done!

I rarely build ships but this one has been on the shelf for a while (along with several others). I decided it was time to build it even though I hate dealing with all those tiny fiddly bits. 🤪 I intend to model it in Measure 21 which is overall Navy Blue instead of the splotchy scheme. This has gotten to be to damn aggravating so it is going to the SOD. The PE railings have a high cuss factor to get them properly attached. Three hands would come in handy. Trying to hold the model without knocking something off of it is a mission impossible. I can do without the aggravation so now it will spend time on the SOD while I find something else to build that is enjoyable.

Thanks Chris. There's no telling what it was that had all that interest. For sure, we'll never know! 🤪

Thanks! A little something unusual.

I had this Tamiya 1/48 P-51B partially built so I decided to resume working on it and finish it as the one in the photo. I used a Aires cockpit set for the interior. Markings all came from my decal stash. I hope y'all like it!

Tamiya 1/32 P-51D Tuskegee Mustang

Very nice build Peter! Looks good!!! -
Y'all are probably correct as I too figure he's just trying to stretch, etc. Stiff and sore. 🤪
-
Thank you Kevin. It came close to staying on the SOD but I decided to give it one more try. Worked out okay.

Coming along nicely Peter! -
Hubert has come to the rescue and is sending me the needed parts. Thanks for the offer!!!!

That would be my guess. Not crapping his pants or picking the seat cushion out of his arse. 😐

The more I look at this photo it looks like the pilot has some sort of problem. Obviously it was taken when the 354th FG was just starting ops as the a/c noses haven't been painted white yet. I'm just wondering, was there something "wrong"? Was he sick? Did he crap his pants? LOL What's your take on this guys?
-
Agree 100% Jeff. Great bunch of guys (for the most part).
-
Wow Hubert! Thank you. PM on the way.

Some of the T-28's flown by the Ravens had a metal frame around the Lao national insignia. This enabled a metal cover to be inserted to hide the Lao insignia when they flew in to other countries so it wasn't seen that the a/c was being flown by other than Lao pilots. Pretty neat I think.
