Magic Factory F4U-1A finished
JohnB replied to JohnB's topic in LSM 1/48 Aircraft Ready for Inspection
Thanks Harald. It has many more fiddly bits! It's been a long time since I built a Tamiya 1/48 Corsair but I don't remember it having as many parts. 🙂 -
Hasegawa 1/48 NMF P-40N done RFI

I'm glad you like it Peter. Thanks. -
Finished with this one. https://forum.largescalemodeller.com/topic/20192-hasegawa-148-nmf-p-40n-done/

All done with this one. I was a little unsure about doing a P-40 in NMF but decided to go ahead and give it a shot. I'm glad I did as I really like the way it turned out even though there are a couple of areas that could be better. The only after market are the FineMolds belts. Painted with Alclad Duraluminum. Markings are from the kit but except for the black serial on the tail. Since that was not provided on the decal sheet I printed out my own on clear decal paper. I hope you like the results of my efforts! OOPS! I noticed after first posting this that I had forgotten to paint the intake black! Fixed now! Click on 1st photo, etc......

Coming along well Peter. I just sprayed the Alclad Duraluminum so it's on the down hill slide now.

Should make a good looking model. Different for sure!

100% agree Peter.

Thanks. This kit is such a easy build with no problems and good fit. Very nice for a change of pace from the Revell 262!

Revell Me-262B finished

Thank you Carl! I'm happy that you like it. Thanks again. -
Yes, I've seen photos of it. The P-40 just looks "different" in NMF.
-
This is next up and should be a nice looking out of the usual model. Seems like there were very few NMF P-40's that saw combat. This one is a 49th FG, 7 FS a/c. Just getting started and will post a photo or two shortly.

Finished with this build. https://forum.largescalemodeller.com/topic/20183-revell-me-262b-finished/ -
After many trials and tribulations it's finally finished. Seat belts were the only after market hardware. Painted with Aeromaster RLM 76, 82 and 83. Decals are by Xtradecals. I don't usually have the canopy closed on my builds but this a/c just LOOKS better that way in my opinion. I hope y'all like it! Please remember to click on the 1st photo for best resolution, etc. THANKS!

Thanks! I sprayed the clear flat this morning so now all that's needed is to attach the canopies and pitot tube. Should have it done in a little bit. -
Tamiya 1/350 USS FLETCHER: Update - 6-11-24: On Hold
JohnB replied to Peterpools's topic in Non LSM 'WIP
This certainly is a departure from the "norm" Peter! Branching out into a different area of modeling is usually a good mojo enhancer! I look forward to following your build. -

I've decided it'll do so I started decaling. Fingers crossed all will go well since those Xtradecals are VERY thin. -

Dapple camo done. I'm undecided if it looks "right" or not. Might need a little "adjusting" but I'm interested in what you guys think. Remember, I'll do a little more after the decals are on, especially the tail. -

Thanks Kevin. At one time I didn't think I'd ever get to this point. Now it's time to start on the dappling camo. Tricky since that can make or break the model. Fingers crossed!
