  1. Same here Rob. I use BMF on my Tamiya P-38, looked good but for the work involved to get it to fit and look good, I am leaning back towards using my gold old Alclad Chrome over gloss black.
  2. John Agreed and of course, the Mustang looks so good in any color and paint scheme.🥇
  3. John Nice progress on your Wildcat. She fills in beautifully in between stages on your large scale builds.
  4. John Looking mighty good ... one sweet Mustang for sure.
  5. Phil Looking mighty good
  6. Think I'll be calling you the "Lotto Kid"🏆
  7. Kev OH NO, Lady Luck wasn't riding co-pilot. I know how it hurts and just glad it wasn't worse. Rest and stay off your feet for a few days and mend.
  8. Kurok Terrific progress, looking mighty good.
  9. John Amazing as always and here I thought I was the only one who runs out of paint in the middle of a build.
  10. Rob Unfortunately, I had the same results as you with the Molotow chrome pen on the oleos.
  11. Thanks John, much appreciated. Hoping to have the invasion stripes done in a few days and then an update for the build thread.
  12. Rob So glad to see the Dutchess of Kingston is back on the bench and underway once more. I can only imagine how much self-will and fortitude it took to pick up the project again, as you had often said ... it's the rigging that has kept her in the model drydock. You're under way and just go slow and take your time, as I'm sure the results will be brilliant.
  13. Kurok Thank you for the very kind words and I completely agree, the extra money for a quality kit, just makes the building experience so much more enjoyable.
  14. John Mighty impressive progress.
  15. Thanks Carl for the link - just back from seeing what is new and translate works fine. Pretty thin for 32nd scale but the bright spot was on the Volks display: the ZM 190. Tamiya's 1/48 F-35B looked mighty good and Fine Molds had some new 1/72nd scale kits. Yup, the hobby certainly is changing in the direction of interest of the newer modeler these days.
  16. Kev it's a plan for sure and I'll be following all the way.
  17. Oliver Brilliant and beyond. 🏆
  18. Kev Nice progress on the Whirlwind. I'm about in the same stage of construction and painting with my Sea Fury now and all the masking as every bit of the paint work is hard edge and masked and then the ID invasion stripes ... hour after hour, day after day and rolls of Tamiya tape for a 48th scale kit. Update coming soon Your environmental/studio prep set up is looking mighty good. Where and how do you actually paint huge ship models?
  19. John Great, looks like you finally bought a big winning lotto ticket 💰
  20. Carl Great plan for sure and seems there are some very dangerous minefields to cross before getting the kits into the stash.
  21. Carl Got ya - just love those Shermans
