  1. Daz Love to trade our heat and humidity for your chilly and wet weather for a good while.
  2. Happy Birthday Paul, enjoy your special day
  3. The Modeling News today: Kinetic Gold Series new mold 1/48 F-16C Block 25/42
  4. Gaz Awesome diorama and all in only twenty days. Just seems we were sitting with you at the bench as each part of the diorama was built. For me, one key element of a successful diorama is the story and no question as to what the story is. Beautiful work and the snow looks cold and realistic. A tease as we're in the midst of a record heat wave here on the island.
  5. Ernie Holy Smokes, another Infinity Helldiver on the bench and underway. That's some list of upgrades and going to be a gem of a build to follow and enjoy. Nice start on the front office sidewalls and the engine. I'll be front and center for the journey
  6. Jerry Super work on the Revell Eagle and glad you decided to give her one last go. Completely agree with you and John with kit selection.
  7. Kev Some mighty nice work on the Border Stuka. From what I've seen a followed online, the Stuka is a tremendous kit and a pleasure to build. Thank you for posting the images.
  8. Carl, thank you for the information and I'm glad I'm heading in the right direction. Looking at the mixes, it seems we only vary with the Roundel Red, where you are using Hull Red XF9 and what I found online was using red Brown XF 64. I'll do some testing but I'm already leaning your way.
  9. Welcome aboard and enjoy the forum. What a way to break the ice with the incredible Border Lanc. Merlin's look mighty good and the kit details are simply amazing. Will be following with great interest.
  10. Carl Thoroughly enjoying following your progress. Nice to see the engine is in and more work on the interior - the harnesses look so good.
  11. John Aces on the marking - whose decals? I noticed Firewood 209, Miss Pussy Galore. has to be James Bond related.
  12. Thanks Mark The paint shop should be by the end of the week as all the prep work has now been finished. It's hot here as well and thank goodness for AC.
  13. Martin Very much appreciate your kind words on the Spit.
  14. Thanks Carl, very much appreciated. I finished all the re-do work this afternoon and the Spit should be rolling into the paint shop later this week. The conversion sounds like quite a project and I would be the first one front and center to follow the build.
  15. Seems figuring out the correct colors and paints for late war RAF WWII Roundels is a lot more complicated then I thought. Paint colors always seem to be that way and no straight and easy answer. My research shows and I'm not sure these paint selections are correct. I would prefer to use MRP Lacquers but have no issues using Tamiya or Mr Color. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. Tamiya Acrylics Mr Color Dull Red: 75% Reed XF7 & 25% red brown XF64 .... Mr Color: : C327 Red H327 Blue; 75% Flat Blue XF8 & 25% Flat Black Mr Color: C326 Blue H326 Yellow: 96% yellow XF5 & 5% Flat Red Mr Color: C329 Yellow C329 Research shows the Blue should be BS106
  16. Gaz Terrific progress as the weathering on the Howitzer and rifle stack look so well done. Completely agree that clear flat coats help allow the colors, hues and textures to be more easily seen and appreciated. Nice work on dio base sides as well. Always appreciate adding to the background bio as it brings us closer to the scene being portrayed.
  17. Scott I use Quinta Decal sets whenever I can. They are amazing.
  18. Hi Phil I'm pretty sure the only32nd scale Tamiya kit with folding wings is their Corsair series. But when Tamiya offers the option of closed or open panels, the fit is quite good, especially on their 48th scale F-14's and F4B kits.
  19. Oliver Amazing work and the level of detail is astonishing. I'm always blown away by your work.
  20. John That's quite a good looking pair and it's easy to see both were built by the same talented builder.
  21. Kai Amazing progress - just so many individual details and parts you had to orchestrate and come together. Amazing work. And now add in again all the electronics ... a boat load of work successfully accomplished.
