Gus Nothing like testing and you are going to love MRP paints.

Hi Gus I shoot a lot of Mr Color - MRP paint and it's has been my number one go to paint for years. I shoot MRP straight from the bottle, absolutely no thinning and the base is also MRP Primer - normally gray but I do use black sometimes. My go to air brushes depending on how big the model is and the real estate I need to cover: H&S Infinity CR Plus .2 tip Iwata Eclipse EP-CS 3.5 tip Regardless of the air brush set up, my working air pressure is anywhere between 12-15 psi and light coats. I do need to adjust the regulator to maintain the working pressure depending on which air brush I am using. primer coats, I normally use and H&S Infinity CR Plus with a .4 tip. Nothing special about shooting, just wear a respirator and shoot in a spray booth - it's lacquer. You are going to love the paints.

When it comes to Merlin's, I've seen and heard maybe a 100 P-51's and nothing sounds as sweet and beautiful.

Mike Awesome choice - going to be a classic build. Will be along for the entire journey. -
I guess I was wrong but I thought Ammo bought Alclad.

Just seems as if this is the way of the future for not just our hobby but almost everything. I tend to spend more time trying to find online what I need from the fewest number of vendors, so I just don't keep paying for shipping over and over again. Being nearly impossible, I now plan out and commit to a project after I have found, ordered and have what I need on hand, otherwise, the project is put on a hold until I have what I need - jus and or build after

Thanks Carl, very much appreciated. I have my finger crossed about the decals for the checkboard nose. When I built the Tamiya, the decals went on perfectly - sure hope these will be the same. -

Thanks Mike, very much appreciated. When I built the Tamiya Bubble Jug, she had a NMF and a checkerboard nose. I'll post pics of it with this Jug when I finished. -

Scott WOW, your Blue Angle F4 looks spectacular. Many years ago, my wife I always attended the Reading Air Show in Pennsylvania and at one show we were treated to both the Blue Angels and Thunderbirds in their F4's and the Snowbirds as well. The airport is in a valley and when those Phantoms lit up their afterburners, the sounds were amazing. This was the last time I saw either Team flying their Phantoms as they switched to smaller and less gas consuming aircraft ... geez, those were the days. -

JOhn The spinner looks right on and so very good. Colors are always subjective depending on the weathering of the aircraft at the time the photograph was taken and the film used. Just go with what you feel are the best color representations for your build.
