  1. Oh no, not another move down the road - we're getting too old for all this excitement.
  2. John WOW! What an awesome project and your progress is amazing. I could never deal with all of those super small parts and then the tiny PE parts. You're off to a fantastic start and looking so good. Will be following all the way
  3. Thanks Kev for the info. Something to more then think about.
  4. Hubert Enjoy and hopefully you will keep us posted on the restoration of the Columbia.
  5. Kev Looks awesome and I'm starting to get the bug on doing a few of the Eduard 48th scale WWI aircraft. Looks as if I might even be able to build them. Rigging I would try to do with eyehooks, my only shot at this stage of the game - not the best of eyesight and a bit more or the 'Bull in a China Shop" when it comes to working in tight areas.
  6. Ralph One good looking Sabre. so very nicely. Im pressive display of your jet aircraft builds
  7. Guy Looks fantastic ... one terrific build for sure.
  8. Chris Absolutely agree with your thoughts.
  9. Carl Glad you were able to locate the intake screens and the tiny details you added look good and agree, will most likely never be seen - and I'm sure you feel good about adding them, which was the right move for sure.
  10. Ralph Nice progress and the Artistro Acrylic Paint Pen Set sounds more then interesting. When you are using it, how about a mini-how too, would be much appreciated.
  11. Phil Looks great and so glad the ZM Mustang is back on the bench and underway agai, Your choice for the paint scheme sounds awesome.
  12. PW Enjoy .. I had the kit from the moment Trumpeter let it literally fly and also a full boat of AirScale and ANZY AM for it. Only AM I need to still buy are Yellow Wing decals as the kits NAT insignia are too small. Looking forward to your upcoming build.
  13. When Kai stopped posting and became MIA, I sent him a PM with no response and asked on the forum if anyone heard from Kai. Gaz, who is now also long gone but I do see his name when lurking elsewhere, said Kai was fine and well but that was all. I'm not sure what Ernie and Kev are referring to at all.
  14. Hubert Congrats on living through 7 moves in 11 years ... surely a major feat. What a man cave ... looks absolutely fantastic and well worth all the work. Hoping everyone enjoys their new home and best of all you're back at the bench - organization and layout looks brilliant.
  15. mark Right with Dennis .. nice start and it is BIG! Will be following.
  16. Dennis Will be following your progress - just take your time and enjoy
  17. Looking mighty good and keep a lot of Kleenex handy
  18. Decided to remove my post and thoughts. Can't change or alter Kotare's latest to be released kit and surely can't alter the course for the future. Just very disappointed and time to move on.
  19. Rob Agreed and I just might jump on a Kingfisher as well. 👍
  20. 48th isn't that small, just needs a bit more help in the vision category for me.
  21. Thanks Rob Very much appreciated your comments on the Jug build and completely agree. Masks have finally arrived and trying to obtain the best front windscreen fit I can and then hopefully over the weekend I'll have the Jug ready now for priming. With the insane cold weather here on the Island, using the spray booth which vents outside is a no go until things warm up a bit next week. ⛄
  22. Kurok Absolutely agree - just way too fiddly and too much work when adding the Big P&W and cowl flaps. I just finished the entire assembly and spend hours trying to get it to fit - just a pain. While the kit has awesome details, a lot should have been reserved for their Advanced Kit rather then on the Basic Kit. I've built the Tamiya Bubble Jug a few years ago, didn't have a single issue and used their decals - nothing but pure fun and enjoyment.
  23. Smitty I sure hope not but there are still a lot of more temping subjects then a 109.
  24. Carl An awesome F4U underway - now that's a wing fold we can surely appreciate. Wait until John sees it.
