  1. I'm so very happy to see you back Peter. Your infectious attitude combined with great building skills was definitely missed.
  2. Thankfully Jeff it's the light and fluffy stuff. Which is even weirder that it's cold enough to have that kind of snow here. What makes it especially hard are the huge swings Like I said, it was 70 last week and I was out building a new retaining wall and sweating. Also, apparently I have Texas dogs. I had to go out in the yard and clear pee and poop areas for them.
  3. Yea this is nuts. Its 5° here in Dallas this morning and we've only had 1 hour of working power since 4 am. Not an easy day with a 6 month old at home. Thankfully all my aircraft are snowed in and my wifes shift yesterday was canceled. We're both able to be home to handle this.
  4. There aren't winters in the state. I had to cancel a flight because our planes are snowed in and were due for another bought of snow on Wednesday. It's an absolute cluster down here. We just aren't equipped for this type of stuff.
  5. Who the hell moved my house to Canada!? It was 70° here last week and its 10° here now. 10F!!!!!!
  6. Wow, that is an entirely different level of model building.
  7. The P-40 will always have a special place on the shelf. Right now I'd say it's my F-16. It means a lot because it was given to me by a good friend, and it got me through the stress and isolation of the March and April lockdown. Also, I'm very pleased with how it looks.
  8. Of all the ones I've seen of yours that was my favorite one Mark. I really enjoyed seeing it in person and I believe photos dont do it justice.
  9. If you had someone over to your house and you could only show them one of your completed builds, which one would it be? Why?
  10. Cleaned up the bench to head back to work. Of course had to do a little taping to see what she'll look like.
  11. Got a bit of a Thud crash sight on the bench right now. Decided to give the Black Box gear wells a try.
  12. I'm working on my Thud cockpit and can't quite figure out the best way to get the mirror look on my mirrors. Polished foil, a paint, anything else? Any ideas from the masters would be great.
  13. For someone not building a kit you sure are building a lot! I'm gonna start telling my wife I'm not drinking whiskey, I'm just playing around.

Yup, dunzo. They were horribly run in the end. Terrible business practices and failed to listen to what their customers were saying. It should have been a very easy fix and there's no reason they couldn't have given Sprue Brothers a run for their money.
  16. Did some digging and they are enamel based. I may try them on my F-104 build since theres a lot of masking metal sections on that.
  17. I assume your talking about the circular hole below the probe. Also, a very interesting observation. The refueling door is depressed. Is that its normal position or is that a result of sitting outside for years on display?
  18. Looking great. I can't decide if I want to go with the GT Resin dorsal fin or the Quickboost one. I have both of them and keep going back and forth. Right now I'm leaning towards Quickboost. Loving the tutorial as you lead the way for this resin dummy.
  19. Got the nose cone test fit and got a bit of painting on the cockpit. Lesson learned on measuring 5 times before cutting plastic to add resin. That's why the evergreen strip is on the nose! That'll be it for about 2 weeks. I hope to accomplish quite a bit on my days off in Feburary.
  20. Took a few minutes today on the thud. Starting to try and fit the aires cockpit and worked on fixing the fit of the gr nose cone. Also did some test fitting on the canopy.
  21. I've found much comfort at the bench recently as well. With worries at work, home, and everywhere in between its amazing the solace you can find in a bit of plastic. I'm certainly an OCD control type and having very little control in most things right now, I find it nice having something that is fully a result of my own actions and decisions. Even just being in my office and enjoying my completed builds has been very therapeutic lately.
