HB P-61 finished FINALLY
Sir Desmond Glazebrook replied to JohnB's topic in LSM 1/32 and Larger Aircraft Ready for Inspection
It's beautiful. -
I recently read the book, Black Thursday. The author created quite the scene with aircraft exploding, humans falling.... It must have been absolute hell. I have always felt warmly to Americans. A reason is because they came to Australia, Coral sea, Midway... It is heartbreaking to see B-17's and 24's taking hits in gun camera footage. 10 men per aircraft. Heartbreaking. This model oozes with the images Black Thursday left in my mind. A wonderful model evoking a certain sadness. Vale all the aicrew who flew in the Queen of the skies. And also to those who perished recently. Both the book and your model have moved me. Well done!

Yeah they are pretty cool. I must complete this thing as I have my own jobs to do. I cleaned it up a bit more. Just drilled out where the tail wheel broke off. Luckily I bought a second kit to cover my screw ups. -

Bloody hell!!! Talk about events occurring in waves. Geez mate, it is hard to know what to say except good luck with all this. Perhaps contact this bloke. He's in Campsie. -
I wanna see what happens after watching Flory's YouTube video. He covers the whole thing in clay and then he rubs it and wipes it and sands it. (SO many tasteless jokes....) Trying to complete a tiny teeny weeny 1/72 Spitfire and give it to that kid. If anything just so I can get back to my SHELF OF DOOM!!!
