  1. This is why 1888 is one of my favourite years. Whilst science is the greatest invention of mankind, the second may be considered the invention of toilet paper.
  2. Hubert, 20% off at Hobbyco Sydney. Were you just in Sydney??? I could have sworn I saw you in the Queen Victoria building.
  3. Thanks Gaz. It was a struggle today. Freakin' pain.... At least I did something. Cheers mate.
  4. Getting closer. I must weather the wheels and tyres, drill a few holes, paint the pitot and mast and affix antenna wire...
  5. More kits. I sold some drums I no longer need and bought more models in the sale 20% off. I got two Revell boxings of ICM kits.
  6. BTW. I am high on pain meds. Ignore.
  7. Hi mate. Thanks very much. It means a lot to me to have modelers whom I admire greatly offer such positive vibes. At no time during these build have I wanted to work on anything else. I couldn't do this in the past. All you guys deserve credit for your continued support of a right nutter!
  8. Tamiya have a couple of F-16 1/48 kits. Hasegawa also have a nice 1/48 kit. Hasegawa also has the Japanese Mitsubishi version. The JASDF Sea colours are beautiful. This aircraft has a different wing planform. Tamiya is my recommendation.
  9. Sorry not to have responded to this question. My answer is I don't know. I have been experimenting with different types of pencils and pastels. I am working doing random things with ideas at the time. My loss of short term memory is a problem. I don't know what I did. It seems each morning I must fix the night before.
  10. Hi Ernie. Thanks so much for the compliment. It means more to me than ever with brain being able to concentrate on the task at hand. To read your word, words from a very fine modeller indeed, it is uplifting. Thanks again to all you dealt with my illness and brain damage, your patience and confidence in me helped save me. I am eternally grateful.
  11. I finally got some time in. I had a great deal of trouble fitting the inner gear door. With my annoying numb fingers it took me two hours to get it all in place. Happily and building my confidence idid not turn away and leave it. This tells me my brain is healing from all of that harsh chemo. I was unable to do this just 2 months ago. Modelling is a fantastic way to restore dexterity. Every day I fall more in love with my chosen hobby/therapy. I have been spending time with the propellor.
  12. Awaiting me at home. A model of an aircraft I never imagined to see in any scale, Petlyakov Pe-8. And these...
  13. Aussie women shut down violent Airfix box art. Sorry.
  14. Cheers. I checked the WoT decal sheet to see if normal decals were inside. I was happy to see they do. Some models like the 1/72 aeroplanes and perhaps tanks are for future birthday presents for young students. I recall you mentioning Dragon armour in the past. I have been looking carefully at the shop for Dragon kits I want to build. They average about 100 bucks here so I am awaiting just the right subject. Carl, I couldn't resist. Same story with the Ju-188. ICM will likely bring out versions of these older kits. I always liked Dragon.
  15. More of the March madness. I am considering the Airfix 1/24 Typhoon. Any thoughts about that kit are appreciated. Not on sale, but I rarely see Dragon in Sydney. I snapped them up.
  16. I get scared coming to the completion. I worry I will screw ot up. Two days ago I tried to complete my Tony. I struggled with the fiddly parts of the undercart. So put it down to wait until Sunday when I have more time. Happily I have 3 kits! Why do I have three? Don't ask.
  17. I thouht Rob was talking about a ride cymbal. I need to get out more and meet new people!! Guess what I am doing when I finish drumming today, MARCH MADNESS!!!!!
  18. March Madness is here!!! Up to 50% off!!! 20% off Tamiya, Trumpeter, Revell & Airfix!! I am looking at the 1/24 Airfix Typhoon..... Today I only got 4 because of insane weather. 47° C one day, cold and pouring down with rain the next. Anyway... And this lot arriveed today from Hannants. 3 guesses what my next build is!
  19. Hi Gaz. Did you use the scotchbrite method (I don't know the proper name)to paint the Dornier? I reckon it looks great.
  20. I have around 12 psi dialed in on my compressors. I find the paint flows well. Although some colours need more or even less, depending on the task at hand. My compressor is telling me now that I left it on overnight.
