Hi wumm. Actually I don't give the PM much thought. I do not even know who the opposition leader is. I am a musician in a country where musicians are treated with contempt from ALL Australian governments. Most of the population. Australia is a country of sports, not the arts. Thanks for the link. I am treating this time as a chance to kick back and build models. If I am out on the street in six months.... I will deal with whatever reality as best I can. -

Yep, politicizing this is a problem. I don't trust politicians at all. Most of the worst of human history were politicians. There is only one political party that gets my vote, the Australian Sex party! I haven't been able to learn the extent of the disease in third world countries as yet. Mainly because I am more focused on modelling. There's not much I can do. -

We seem to be lucky in Australia. Many people have adhered to the Govt insructions. The federal government has taken control of child care fees. People can now have their kids in childcare free of charge. There will be incentive payments to pensioners to help keep the economy going. Of course there are people who refuse the instructions. I try to check the news for further information. It is hard with many outlets saying the same thing over and over. Politicians of every stripe hoping to get on camera. Nothing new there. I really want to hear from the scientific community. I am spoiled having lived in hospitals and being able to hear instant and clear answers to my questions. I am somewhat confident our government will at least try to do the right thing. News is now coming in via Aussie news sourses about the American situation. This leaves me concerned for my many American friends. . -

There is zero politics in my post. It is a description of what I saw. Perhaps the politicians can step aside and let the medical professionals tell the community what the community needs to know? -

Australia Post has become snarky. Your delivery is unlikely to arrive today Delivering to NSW 2042 It’s on its way We’ll deliver it as soon as possible -
This is interesting indeed. Is this an American owned racer or is it owned by Japanese interests? If it is close in time to the war I doubt any American would put hinomarus on it. That being the case, loads of American flags. All over it. (I have seen Stars and stripes Karate gis. ) If Japanese, do a search on JASDF F-4's and F-15's. There are so many ideas. Caligraphy, cherry blossoms, birds, shark mouths, kabuki... the end is listless. Were it me? Japanese owned Kabuki mask surrounded by taiko drums and cherry blossoms.

Here in NSW we are in lockdown. One must have specific reason to go outdoors. People in NSW are living under Australia's toughest coronavirus lockdown and face fines of up to $11,000 if they break the rules. The State Government has warned the new laws, which came into effect at midnight on Monday, could be in place for weeks. It has issued guidelines clarifying when it's OK to leave the house. Here's what you can leave your home for: Work, if a person can't work from home School or an educational institution Shops for food and other essential items Get medical care Exercise, but only if the exercise is done alone or with one other person NSW Police Commissioner Mick Fuller said 13 tickets had been issued so far for infringements of the new laws. "The reality is the messaging that the Premier and Chief Health Officer have been giving over the last weeks and months has not been getting through to some people," he said. Beyond those essential reasons for leaving the home, the Government has provided a list which would "excuse" somebody being outside. It includes: Fleeing an unsafe home, so to avoid injury or illness Dealing with an emergency or on compassionate grounds Providing care or helping a vulnerable relative/person Taking your child to childcare Attending a wedding (adhering to the five-person limit) or a funeral (adhering to a 10-person limit) Moving house or moving between two places of residence Donating blood Fulfilling legal obligations Accessing support services such as employment services, mental services etc Fulfilling parental sharing arrangements of children (the Government says those conditions shouldn't change and children can move between homes) Going to a place of worship or to provide pastoral care, if you are a priest, minister or member of a religious order. The police have the power to deliver on-the-spot fines of $1,000 to individuals who breach those rules. The maximum penalty that can be given by a court is $11,000 and six months in jail. For anybody who is outside their house, they can only be with one other person unless they're part of your immediate family or are housemates. The same rule applies for having another person over to your house. If you are inside, there can only be two people gathered in that room, and social distancing must be adhered to. -

I am doing well. It is cool that I have nowhere I have to be. While confined I feel free. Right now I have ZERO responsibilities. I am so pleased I decided to never marry when age 7. I have stuck by this decision for 49 years. What must I do? I go to the grocer at 0700 every 3 days to avoid people. I take out the rubbish and do recycling. I ring my old man, "How'reyadoin'dad?" We both then comment on the fact we woke up! He's 91, I am supposed to be dead, win win! So here is how I am spending my regular day: Make a coffee and have home made jam on pikelets. Have a shower. Then work on a model or two. I stopped watching the news. All I see are idiotic politicians spewing BS. As far as I can tell they are winging it while making excuses, their big plans...blah blah blah. Each more foolish than those previous... Idiots all. I have an Audible suscription and have been listening to lectures. Subjects include Chinese history, Exploring the roots of religion, My favorite universe by Neil GeGrasse Tyson and others. Today i listened to 10 lectures given by Prof Gregory S. Aldrete on the subject History of the ancient world: A global perspective. From lecture 37, hunter gathers and Polynesians, to lecture 46, Holy men and women, monasticism and saints. While listening I worked on a 1/48 jet trainner, followed by working on an armour subject. More of the same tomorrow. Gatherings here are allowed 2 persons only. I am enjoying myself. -
I have Bob's buckles right in front of me! He doesn't know. Shhhhhhh everyone. The buckles were easy I should get his pants soon. Thanks Bob. Legend!

What’s on your 2020 modelling shopping list ?
Sir Desmond Glazebrook replied to HubertB's topic in General Discussion
Thanks Harv. I modelled successfully today from 9.00 to 4.00 pm. All of a sudden the earth's gravity increased from 1 to 1-1/2! All of a sudden a part plummeted to the ground!!! All of a sudden my hair was covered in the contents of my airbrush scum container... All of a sudden I was in the shower.... All of a sudden I said "Screw it. I'll look tomorrow morning." Any more of this type of success I will be hanging out and lamenting with Pyrrhus! Sharp as a bowling ball.
