That is totally awesome!! I can hear the Snoopy and the Red baron Christmas song that I had on a record as kid playing my head.... -

You should have your butt kicked for having a work space so clean!! That is simply not acceptable in this hobby. Go away. -
Ho-lee chit!! The only drawback I can see to the 1/16 and 1/6 tanks is that the kits all seem to be made for R/C, which makes them cost more. I would like a 1/16 one that is just a static kit.

Exactly what I'm talking about!! Awesome and simple!

Ouch!!!! But way cool.....

I have been thinking of 3D printing some bottle holders, but they are so simple, I could make them out of wood even cheaper. However, I am apparently too lazy to do either....

You have a Tamiya 1/16 Sherman!!!!!????? Oh man, I am so jealous!! Not to mention the T-34!!! -
Easy to make out of a piece of styrofoam or cardboard for us cheapskates. I use coffee cups to put paint, glue, etc. bottles in while I'm using them, because I'm the clumsiest person EVER.

My stash is about 25 kits total, and I've been selling off a bunch of old collectibles to make space and using the cash to finance my other hobbies this last year, so my wife has absolutely nothing to complain about financially. And considering that I almost never finish a model, display space is not really an issue, either. The only problem I MIGHT admit to having is the collecting of bang-sticks, which is starting to be a storage space issue. And then there is the old car project, etc......... Tim -
That's my plan! Along with some work on a few of the planes I have started.
-
Well, I guess this one is going to have to wait a few months. My truck broke down today, to the tune of at least 900 bucks, so the last of my Christmas bonus will have to go towards that. Time to sell some stuff on ebay again! Thanks for all the help! Tim

From the photos, it does appear to have a large baggie of track links, cable, and PE screens+, though I can't see a barrel anywhere. Edit: correction, its kit 6406, not 6383, though I don't know the difference. I've been watching this!! It's part of what inspired me, along with Mark giving me the Easy Eight kit for Christmas! You guys are like drug dealers....

I found a Dragon 6383 kit with the magic track included for 67 shipped. A bit more than I can afford right now, but is that a good price?
-
Thanks all! I have never built a Dragon tank, so I did not know the DS tracks were better than the average. I definitely like all the extras included for sure. I was leaning toward the Tamiya Tiger Ryan suggested because of the individual track links and the relatively low cost, but I'm not excited about buying, and applying, the PE zim. I am leaning toward the Dragon based on this info, but I will keep my eyes open online and see what develops. Very helpful, thank you! Tim

I am considering doing a Tiger I mid or late model, but I am not really an armor guy, so I need a little advice on which kit fits my desires. These are my criteria: 1. Separate track links (I can't afford AM tracks, and I hate the rubber bands), 2. Zimmerit (either molded, decals, or PE, as long as comes with the kit), 3. Does not need detailed interior, since I'm planning to do it closed up, 4. Does not need a ton of AM to look decent, though I might do a little PE or something. The only kit I am aware of that might fit the bill is the Italeri kit #293. Any others that you would recommend, and ballpark cost? Thanks, Tim

Between the Easy Eight I got in the raffle, and watching your build of this, I REALLY want a Tiger now! -
What do you consider is the meanest tank in history?
biggtim replied to Sir Desmond Glazebrook's topic in General Discussion
M1 Abrams, without a doubt, for me. Two good friends were Marine tankers in the first Gulf War, and they obliterated a large group of Russian built Iraqi tanks in the blink of an eye. Just not a contest. It was called the "Reveille Engagement"... https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battle_of_Kuwait_International_Airport. Tim -

A-10 Warthog. So ugly, it's beautiful. -
That is one the most incredible things I have ever seen!! I bet with all of that additional stuff, it probably cost about 1000 bucks by the time you were done!!
