  1. Hey Kahuna Deluxe makes a twin syringe kit with different size tips on there web site. I know cause I have it. It works pretty good with the large size tip, the smallest one is good for pva glue. Ron G
  2. Yeah, an a month or two they'll find some shit ass reason to fire him. Big companies don't care about the peons, they sit in there offices and draw there exorbitant wages and don't even give there employees a second thought, until it starts eating into there pocket book. Ron G
  3. Hey Trigger That looks sweet! Really nice looking Tiffy I hope mine turns out as nice. Ron G
  4. Hey Trigger Know all you need is a good recording of a P&W R-2800-10W to play when you switch on the electric motor...lol Ron G
  5. Hey Peter we're all waiting for further info and pictures. I just found this build, and I'm going to be watching very closely to your progress as I've just picked up the Airfix 1/24 'Tiffy' bubble top and know I can pick up alot of tips and tricks from the master.
  6. WOW! That looks really good Trigger.
  7. Hey all Anyone out there have any pictures of a Hawker Typhoon Mk 1b bubble top with uncovered cannons? All the pictures I can find on the net all have covered cannons. The only ones that I can find are of the earlier car door Tiffy with its guns uncovered. I bought the Master Models brass barrels for it but don't want to cut off the end of the gun fairings if it's not correct. I'm thinking I could use the Master Models barrels for the Mossie instead, but not sure if they would fit under the covers. So what are your guys thoughts. Ron G
  8. Best of luck Harv. We are all with you Ron G
  9. Hey Trigger Go for it you can do it. Mask away Ron G
  10. Hey Trigger I kinda figured those would be a pain in the ass. Masking and painting them on will be alot better. Good luck and take your time, let the paint dry thoroughly. I do the same thing, I rush it so I can see it done. And usually mess it up...lol I'm getting better at painting trying to slow down and take my time and do it right, but sometimes it's really tuff to do...lol. I'm going to do my Hellcat with all masks, except for the small stuff those will be decals. And my I say. I DON'T LIKE DECALS! There really my down fall. Ron G
  11. Hey all Just a little sompun sompun. These arrived from Today and a couple of days ago. Not sure which one will come after the Hellcat, probably the Tiffy, then the Mosquito. I have these for the Mossie. Barracuda main wheels. Yahu instrument panel. And Master Models 20mm cannons. I have the Master Models .303 machine guns on order waiting for them to come in the mail. I also have the Master Models 20mm cannons for the Tiffy, but I'm kinda wondering if the Mossie ones would be better? I don't know have to check it out. Ron G

  12. Hey all Just a little heads up. If you are doing your big Cat as a Marine land based plane don't forget to use the correct rear wheel/tire. It's the one on sprue 'L' parts L31 the pneumatic one, NOT parts L32, which are the hard rubber ones used on Navy carrier based Hellcats. Also this came in the mail today from Eduard. Engine detail set and inner and outer canopy masks. These also came from Gaspatch. Accurately done .50 Cal. Machine guns for the Hellcat. Ron G
  13. Hey all A little something that came in the mail. From Wally at fundekals. Pratt and Whitney engine emblem decals.
  14. Hey Harv Sorry to here about your situation, that's a real bummer. I kind of know what you feel. It's some times very hard for me to get modeling sessions in, because of my severe back and nerve pain, brought on from surgery for a liver transplant. On those days I just rest and take it easy. On the days that I can model Itry to do as much as I can stand. Then I have to take a break to recover for the next time. Ron G
  15. WOW! Thanks a lot Martin that was just what I was looking for. Ron G
  16. Hey all Looking for the types used by the RAF in the Typhoon, Mosquito, Spitfire and Hurricanes. What I'm looking for is the correct way to paint the shells on the kit or aftermarket belts. Basically what color were the armor piercing, incendiary and explosive shells. And did the RAF intermix them and in what order. Ron G
  17. Hey all Anyone here have pictures of the colors of the various types of 20mm cannon shells. Cant find anything really good on the net. Ron G
  18. John you are definitely a glutton for punishment...lol. It looks good, I wanted one of these till I saw all the problems people were having with it. Ron G
  19. Working on this beauty. Airfix F6F-5 Hellcat (converting it to a F6F-3 in the tri-color paint scheme) Here's a shot of the P&W R-2800-10W engine. Still needs a lot of detail work. Ron G
  20. Ok everybody stop! I've found another error from Airfix. On page 39 from the instruction manual in SEC. <153> it shows installing part J7 (quantity is 9) on the front of the rear engine cylinder bank, they need to go on with the bow on the bottom or you won't be able to get part J2 in the next section to go on. Airfix kind of forgot to explain that. So don't screw up like I did and put em on with the bow up It's the same on the front cylinder bank. I have to fix that too...damn. I really need to be more diligent and not rush...my bad Ron G
  21. Looking good Trigger Ron G
  22. Ok some more pictures after I painted the front engine cylinder bank. Everything still needs to be touched up, but I'm getting closer to finishing this engine. Well back to work still have a lot to do. Later all. Ron G
  23. Hey Jeff You still have to add the fittings to the braided wire, which is a real pain in the ass, very difficult and tedious. The spark plug wires are going to be even harder to do, but will look really cool. Ron G
