Work continues waiting on some brown EZ-line for the ropes for the flags quite a few of those so the turrets came off and blast bags till the line shows up. -

I have started rigging the Foreward SS area still waiting on some brown EZ-line used for flags for the most part. The first pic shows were I had to add an upright extension to a foreward yard off the SS upper deck still not painted yet and the line heads to a piece I made last week.I am finding these little tri-leg projections all over the SS found four more tonight using a magnifying glass. This pic shows where I used black metal line between the outrigger yards of the SS from front yard to rear and around the front yard to the tri-leg on the SS is EZ-line.The metal line on the sides and back will handle much in rope this will allow the lines not to sag no were as much and look more natural ...I hope. You can see just off to the side of the searchlight a new pole added still have to add the V for tri-leg to the bottom it's a beotch. These go to the forward control room and then to the rangefinder right below The other side where another tri-leg was located and is complete a bit of trial/error here took about 20 minutes and third fold was correct just a PIA but guys rigging is one of the most important elements in bring these ships to life. You can see the little mooring lights I made out of brass below the upper yard.I am just to gullible in thinking these manufactures will include this stuff such as the lights and parts for a successful rigging process but then again I am going 1943 other years where different. You would have to be a Scharnhorst fanatic to know what I missed. Thanks for looking in. -

A beotch about the flaps but she does look very Nice!I see the two of us basically like to use the same technique when spraying the camo colors light pressure, small tip and the gun is always moving for that irregular pattern gives it a natural worn look. -

Thanks Guy I keep finding stuff added more to the forward mast last night and added more rafts to the back of the SS as depicted in 1943.I am mapping out the rigging in my head ATTM steel wire was supplied(black) which I will use as anchor point above were EZ line will attach to.The steel line will not sag under the stress making things look more natural. The pics are the very first with a different camera still playing also got a tripod helped alot on clarity. I think I have to go with the Bismark after this one just like that Atlantic bow and German design. -

I have been researching the rigging and to my total surprise Trumpter got something wrong on the mastThe lower yard arm was short and incorrect never check the sister ship?So I made the new one then there was these mooring lights below the upper yard the diagram was 1/200 scale so made that out of brass.I will in due time when all painted grey add drops of window clear product to the top of the cylinders inside and paint red top/white bottom. Again upon further inspection in 1943 she had 5X post jutting out from the upper observation platform for lines to go to lower decks again brass came to the aid. The cranes were rigged finally once was done the understanding was pretty good I think I got it right 2Dpics to 3D life can be misconstrued at times. I have covered all the railing on the forward SS that had canvas covering I may still go a tad darker in color? Rob you notice anything different? -

I will eventually Scott on the back burner for now the cyl cost more then the gun ATTM.I have to many irons in the fire right now so will play with the cap/ball experience for now but she sure has a nice balance.

I sorry I saw him in concert like in 1976 Black Sabbath then I think with Mahogany Rush in Mobile.I went to see MR not BS who was ok never was a big fan of Ozzy. Had to be later I was 15 in 76 I was about 17 so 78 maybe MR rock-n- rolled. -
The actual piece arrived at the doorstep the other day via the USPS.The trigger on this piece is much smoother and lighter than either the SF 1911 or my 38SP Snub Nose methinks
