i built the Trumpter kit of this in 1/72 was a good kit Guy amazingly I did not take pics of that build Scharnhorst has my attention once more.

I thought I give a small update to the build things are moving fairly well. This area was the first area I wanted to complete loading in the twin 3.7cm with water breaks and ammunition boxes completed both sides.I also added the boat and reela for the davits. This was the building and adding of the other torpedo tubes adding the binoculars not included from my 3D printed materials.The crane up front down low was scratched built was not shown at all how the crane was controlled.What you see to right cut-off was is the torpedo loader will get a better pick later. This is the forward lookout station the area of the ship I did not catch in time actually the layout for the Gneisenau the Scharnhorst was minus many partitions/walls present and way more open.The ladders you see all about the ship scaling vertical walls were all hand done by me scraping off the molded and with a 1/350 template added they measures out to 18" across. I have added the chains for the stern of the ship still need to add the wheel to the top of the box over the chain.The steps on the hull come from the PE for the 1/350 scale Japanese which memory serves me right was 24" in that scale maybe bigger. Just a look at some more 3.7cm's this area I was looking at to rail this evening for the next week or two coming up when that happen some rigging is coming into play also work from the inside out. Just the main SS lot'sa work went into this area lots I would have to dig up pics from 1 1/2 years ago the cranes need there own rigging. I think some of the best areas of the ship color wise.The anchors were much improved over the Trumpter look adding the round bar that locked the drawback then adding the the supporting chains that are actually anchored to the deck with some small thin wire like the pics depict not 100% but good enough to pass muster. Well that's all for a week or so fellas the pics are better than my movie camera action.

Nice bike Ernie my brother loved his bikes "God bless his Soul" he had many Triumph,Harleys and a Beamer(to name a few) he rebuilt he scared me more than once.I am glad for yea and that you have a smile .

Looking sharp Rob!I went to an IPMS meet in Covington last W/E and let me tell you they had some outstanding racers in the F1 category you would of admired but I forgot my camera and I have never owned a cellphone.

Ralph I built up the Meng 410 awhile back I swear you think they almost came from the same molds with added features.

Thanks Martin I was really surprised on the F-84 and disappointed the Tempest MkVI did not place is what it is.We had a really good time.

I am sorry guys I forgot my camera but I received 1st,2nd in 1/32 prop missed in the 1/48 prop with my Academy B-25 PBJ and struck 3rd in the 1/48 jet with the F-84 from Tamyia the F-84 was last minute.The contest had a decent showing of 246 entries this year my buddy and I had fun he garnered 2/3 place with his 1/48 Fw-190 Eduard with all the goodies and a 1/72 Me-262 bomber version.The buddy bought $20 worth of raffle tickets and won about six kit and bought four more.

She is up on her stand just a little more work on the exhaust staining and the headers.
