  1. Yep she looking pretty good there and that exhaust manifold
  2. I think it's time to post a few pics she is getting pretty close to the finish line but the further I got into the build the more problematic it became. The canopy is by far the biggest PIA,the white decals (way to thick)and the exact position of the LG?The rear half of the canopy was removed checked for over spray and it BROKE again this time though I hate it got SG it worked and is glued in place. The LG for one the assembly process and angles could be a little clearer the front doors go way way out there mine are to tight( is what it is ) and the LG round stub pretty tight but should be tighter I have pics of the real one's hope I am close enough. The kit is not all bad just has the moments were the Almighty probably is SHH.

Thanks Mike about to hit the shop and lay down some decals.I hit the gym for the first time a long bit with the wife tonight felt good! The eight months of basic inactivity is done due to a separated rib. 18. Oh yeah John that looks great the subtle weathering and chipping I like it alot.
  19. The George is slowly getting to the finish line also when things hold up on another build I p/u the George and Xato w/#11 blade and start chipping.I feel at times mono(r/side looks better to me) but I have looked at quite a few pics of these birds and the chipping was minimum and around panels.
  20. I have been working some color today on the plane to which I feel pretty good about. The two boxes on the l/side of the fuse covered up some ole unit markings methinks.I will start to lay down some clear in a bit and start decaling tomorrow night,
  21. Well when the final sprues(border) come out and if they look like the CAD I might bite.
  22. Nice!looks good enough to pass for the real thing.
  23. Thanks Rob she was close to being in the trash can The canopy is only going to be OK it was a beotch to assemble the glue would just not bond finally Revell's professional came to the rescue but some damage had already occurred.
  24. Nice John looking good.
  25. I had a bit of a snafu with the pit the consoles I installed on the opposite sides making the front part of the fuselage not able to close by a 1/16".The other problem was I had glued the the fuse all the way to rear gunners position! I let the rookie mistake sit for a couple of days was looking at ordering another kit and Quintas??The idea came wet the seam down a curve blade and start the seperation it was complete in 5/10 minutes with zero damage.Once I had the front portion of the pit out could see the consoles extending out beyond the IP.The Quinta's was carefully removed and sanding commenced till it fit and then reassembly. The wings are now glued on just a little filler up front and below no biggee.
