  1. "Damaged sight" is what I used to say to my buddies when I had an off day at the range too .
  2. Profipaczyksky Yakolov 3 . Not done anything Russian for a while
  3. As a cat loving non cat owner I have nothing but jealously....she looks lovely !
  4. Yes -I don't know if Del Boy was as widely exported as other UK comedies ......."you plonker... Womble !" In case you're curious Jack Higgins only died recently 2022 aged 92 .
  5. The 1976 classic war film is one of my all time favourites after seeing it in the cinema when it came out . I've been to Maple Durham where it was filmed several times, as it is down the road from me , and stood in the church where the Falschies make their last stand . I was watching again the other day and noticed a gaff ...a bright yellow Reliant Robin similar to the one as made famous in the comedy series Only Fools and Horses had been left in the back ground for the scene where JR / Larry Hagman charges the village. Once seen , can't be unseen Then & Now .....some shots around the 'village' of Studley Constable The same road The bend on the corner at the end opposite the church , the houses and shop were film sets erected behind this wall The Church is real enough The building opposite the Church is gen old but the waterwheel was added for the film , still there in 2022 Verry good ..carry on Nuemann ...!!
  6. Litterally could not swing the cat .....poor old Fursnake has nowhere to sit
  7. No , just no . Family who love you need to sit you down 😀, it's outa hand dude .
  8. Anybody heard from Peter recently ? Hoping he's still ok .
  9. Lovely execution and great pictures. Gives a real sense of presence and heft .
  10. It was fairly straightforward - I like Hobbyboss ( Trumpeter) . They are not cutting edge in terms of large numbers options or details , but generally build up easily enough - think Tamiya fit. The often do some more obscure models , I did a F84-F a while ago, that was ok , I have an M4 HST to build later this year. I tend to think of them as lower cost options for trying things out ....often paints or other effects. If I was keen for a Wildcat in the cabinet, I'd probably go Profi-pack Eduard or maybe the new Academy one which got a lot of good vibes this year, or possibly the Tamiya one - although that's old tooling now with no wing fold option . Cheers Rob I've upgraded my studio lights to be brighter and now controllable for warmth and dimming which is a big step up from earlier this year, far more options . Also gone back to using the DSLR rather than the iPhone , thanks for the advice , I do need to play around more with the manual camera settings an get a better feel for the focus. Macro wasn't cutting it , zoom robbed detail and up close and you get .....what you see above . 😆
  11. Destructions are for beginners ! I've never built a resin model beyond the odd few figures and a rather monolithic German armoured car, this is v interesting . Also - I think your seat belts turn out well , my attempts at foil belts always look hokey. 🫤
  12. Godzilla is still stuck under the Sheridan ..poor lil fella .... I bet he's wishing he was 1/6 scale now
  13. Looking good john . They are big aircraft , I took this no so good pic at Hendon 10 years ago when they had an obsession with bad lighting and poor access . No wonder we shot them down in drove after they crossed the English Channel in 1940.
  14. Plastic water bottle is pleasantly 'anachronistic'. That hairspray is buried deep...... I hope it still behaves for you or out with the sponge I guess.
  15. Thank you Mike - my top tips if you're interested ...'less' is indeed 'more' ...and not putting anything square to the base adds a more dynamic 'conversation' .
  16. Tiger of the 501st Schwere PzAbt , in La Gleize , on the evening of the bug out after days of surrounded , cut out from supplies and constant bombardment . Last minute arrangement for the withdrawal and destruction of the vehicles. Made this a few years back , still fond of it , not shown it here before, but as I took a bunch of new pics today thought I'd be cheeky. Tamiya King Tiger , Fruil Tracks and other metal embellishments , Krycell snow effects . Scratch made buildings ,scenary etc MiniArt and Tamiya figures. Cheers PW
  17. Bought this for more NMF trials , this is all Mr Colour super metallics and oil paint rendering . Nice little kit from Hobby boss although there are better ones around in 1/48. I'm fond of the old Wildcat, and the 'yellow wing thing' , might do a few more going forward. No build log as just a trial , pretty much OOB apart from home made belts, scratched canopy so it would sit open . Also today , playing around with new better studio lights & backgrounds.
  18. A couple of years I think , one of those sprung up in Covid lockdown I suspect, when the hobby boomed for a bit . Jadlam made an empire over the same 2-3 years Not one I used before just came across them selling cheap paint ..and then realised why 🥺 @Bomber_County They are still open till 10 am - you've chance if you're quick . Last chance to order will be Monday 4th Nov 10am. Then the website will no longer accept any payments.
