The engine looks superb with all the wiring on top, etc. -
What is on your bench right now ? Share a picture :)

I see the inspector is checking the quality of your work Carl! -
I'd agree with Hubert and say the left hand box looks better to my eye, although both look more than decent.

Thanks fellas. Peter, the next build is planned to be the JetMads Viggen I won in the raffle last year, kindly donated by Ernie. I probably won't start it until after Christmas though as life looks pretty busy over the next few weeks with regulatory inspections at work, etc and I want to read and watch as many build reviews as I can just to get my head around the best sequence for doing things before I blunder into it. I've never built a (predominantly) resin kit before so I want to try and minimise the risk of 'operator error' before I start. 😉

Okay, calling this one done and it's in the cabinet. Decent kit and the fit was generally good other than the nose assembly which was a 'mare if you want to close it up. Milliput and lots of sanding to the rescue. Overall, I'm pretty happy with the outcome. Next up with some trepidation is the Viggen....

The anvil looks very convincing.....

I would leave it but I'm not bothered by the OCD. If you're comfortable with it, why risk damaging the work done so far.

Sad day yesterday as we had to say goodbye to Salty, the younger of our two Jack Russells. He was only 10 but had been struggling a bit recently and CT on Friday showed bladder cancer, so no other option unfortunately. He had a good last day - steak breakfast, a slow trundle round one of his favourite walks then a nice lie in the sunshine on the patio. I know it's for his benefit but it's still the bit of pet owning that I dread. Here he is catching a few rays about an hour before his final trip to the vets.

Ouch!! But unfortunately a definite ring of truth

Ditto to all of the above. Superb.

I've heard it mentioned elsewhere that Maketar seem to have dropped of the radar. I hope not as I liked their stuff and preferred it to Montex for example.

Thanks Rob, with the weather here the last few mornings it could certainly be ice!

Thanks Peter. This one has fought me most of the way, so definitely not going to tempt fate. 😁

Built some of those WarHammer kits with my son a decade ago and they go together really nicely.

Wow, that's some serious scratch work!

Bit more progress on this. Decals on, panel line wash done, flat coat down and masking removed. Some fogging inside the canopy on one side but it's just going to have to stay as I don't have the will to fix it and if I position it the right way in the cabinet it'll never be seen. Next task is to finish all the ancillary parts - weapons, pylons, landing gear etc then we can move on to the Viggen....

Most expensive model ever? Star Wars X-wing fighter

That's a tidy legacy for his family. -
Those don't look as though they are even for this kit. So far off it's laughable.

I've eyed the Hobby 2000 repop of this but having seen this I think I'll definitely pull the trigger or stick it on the Santa list. Just a slimmer, better looking SLUF! -
Looks great Peter. Such a powerful looking aircraft.

Thanks Martin, some great builds there. Not sure I'll ever watch Roger Rabbit in the same way again though!
