I love this jet but I don't have this kit, AM, books are decals...let's face it I don't have anything on this jet I need to get busy buying In the mean time, I'm learning from your wonderful build Mike

  13. Hello Guys, I recently had an opportunity to purchase several aviation books that are a great source for modeling reference, both in-depth detail and over all subject viewing. I had not heard of this company until recently and from what I can see they are off to a great start. The company is base out of Greece, thus covering variety of Hellenic Air Force aircraft's. These books are well illustrated with clean and sharp photographs. The author/publisher is a model builder, thus the exposure of the subjects are illustrated from a modelers point of view. By a modeler for a modellers. In the end, it was money well spent and a great addition to my personal library. I cannot wait to see their next publication and from what I understand it will be F-4 Phantom Under the Skin, and A-7 Corsair Under the Skin. These books can be purchased directly from the author... Ioannis K. Lekkas http://www.eagleaviation.gr/ +306973338930 I cannot say enough about the great photography in these books, so its better I let you view some samples of it for yourself...(btw, I'm not in any way, shape, or form connected to Mr. Lekkas or his business and receiving any royalties or product in exchange for this review. I'm just a happy customer looking to share information on these great books with my fellow modelers.) F-16 Fighting Falcon - Viper Under the Skin Soft Cover: 100 pages, 400+ photographs ISBN 978-618-81376-4-6 This book covers live weapons...
  14. Thanks for the explanation bro. It's gonna be right click, copy, paste, and save on Doc for later use. In the mean time, can't wait for the final result
  15. Brother, this is not FarEast but FarOut. Out of the park that is Totally love the prop work, of course, and the rest of it. You got mad skills bro
  16. Great work so far on the base. Someday, I will gather up my courage to tackle a ground base that is out of my comfort zone. What are you using to represent the dry dirt and how to did you go about doing it? TIA Mike
  17. Great work with those wires. I view this on my iPad and so i see a photo at a time until I scroll down to next photo and I was wondering what the heck is this guy doing drilling holes in those tiny circle pieces... in the end, I see the final result...very good
  18. A good friend used a metal legs that came in the box of the delux edition and they worked and looked great. After couple off years, she's still standing on her legs
  19. Hey Paul, I'm glad you can afford to build on such models, I hope to be able to someday but in the mean time, I'll indulge myself seeing you work on this. I do have couple off 1/48 PBY kits and one of them I will build in early yellow wing paint scheme. I'm going to use Belcher Bits windows and tail conversion to backdate it. I wish I could help with interior info but don't have any, but I hope you find some soon. Mike
  20. Man, look at the size of those hoz tails. I wish I could afford this beautiful beast
  21. Cool, another Mitchell. I too want to build a post-war bird in near future. I have a book on civilian Mitchells and it's got couple of civil schemes/markings that are very nice. Hopefully looking at yours will give me courage to get mine out and start it. So, keep up the good work
  22. Any new updates for us buddy?
