  1. Another great review Jim! Wnw should actually include these reviews on their own site. Nice one.
  2. First basic colors are on the pilot. Next up is detail painting and flesh tones in the face. Final touch will be a matt coat.
  3. Well. I'm thinking of using one of those 3 point stands that lets you pose the plane. The model sits on the points and does not need construction. Anyhow.... The fuse is glued now @James: sure! Knock yourself out
  4. Hi Ralph, Not sure what I'll mount it on. Maybe the Tamiya Spitfire mount, but that may be too flimsy. @Cees: The thing is: there is no temptation to add details, since they don't exist yet. Yesterday I was in the hobby store and almost bought HGW harnesses. Almost... Here's some progress on the pit.
  5. Strolling along.. Pit tub is painted. (Well almost). Not getting distracted with adding too much detail. Just some Airscale placards and gauges. I flattened the rear of the IP with green card, added the instrument housings and wiring. This will be visible from the outside.
  6. Mwuahahaha! Well.... It's certainly not a pocket rocket
  7. Thats right Radu, The engines hold the exhaust stubs and the crank shaft. I am however not installing all the detail parts on them. Dryfitting and glueing today. This thing is HUGE!
  8. Wow! Thnx Grant! I never win anything!!
  9. Thnx guys, As I'm building this kit with all panels closed and gear up, the build goes pretty quick. Everything fits amazingly well. That helps too
  10. Thnx guys, Made the pilot fit the pit. Cut the right underarm and repositioned. Next is sharpening his detail with a sharp blade and even out the seams. I won't spend too much time in the pit since the canopy will be closed. All that needs adding is the dials and some straps to secure this puppet to his chair. I lifted his right arm. Not to work the throttle but to reach for the instrument panel.
  11. Hi all, I couldn't help it. Even with all the builds I have going on... Started work on the Do335. I will build this kit out of the box with almost no additions. Since this goes entirely against my nature, I will build this plane in flight. Gears up. Hatches secured. I took a figure from an old Hasegawa FW190D kit and will modify it to fit. Well... here goes! The scheme I'm going for is the M13 (or M20). An early designated B3 version. Heavily armed and armored. Still doing research on the armament... Anyway... this is what I'm going for!!
  12. Whoooaaa! Decals on! Check. Not much longer now. This is coming together real nice...
  13. Great work. I've built this kit myself and with a little love it can turn into... well.... this!
  14. Hehehe, I use Future to glue the parts and when I'm satisfied i use some extra thin CA to secure the part (and not my hand). Here's some more PE to the fuse:
  15. I can see what you're going for now!!! Looks like it's going to give you a struggle though. Starting to look the part!!
  16. That's some gesture! Good news! Thnx WnW!!!
  17. Speechless... I'll come back with a proper response in due time.. wow..
  18. Nice! The beast is taken for a stroll again! Did you paint white on the model or over a coat of paint?
  19. That's a truly good cause. So sorry to hear of your loss. May this bird bring smiles to small faces.
  20. Thnx guys, Working on the wings now. All fits together nice. The pink you see is debonder coloring the resin. Yes.. trying to erase my traces on this model
  21. Really nice and you nailed the angle of the wings! It's a beast!!
  22. Nice going! Looks like some real tedious work involved. Love the tracks!
  23. Thnx. Attached the tail planes. Getting there. Can't wait to get some paint on her.
  24. Looks good to me! These wings were made of wood, so color was pretty even. Nice going!
  25. Strolling along. Drilled holes for brass locator rods.
