  1. Nice one Dave! Lovely to see one of these posted here! Really cool finish too....
  2. Wow! I just love those cowling panels. I think resin is the best medium for those. Great way of getting the inner structure right. I might have to get me one of these!
  3. Hi Steve, As a matter of fact. Yes. A review is in the making. Stay tuned. As you know the LSM review will knock it out of the park. Cheers! Jeroen
  4. Here's a shot of the skid. I used AK interactive chipping agent.
  5. I can make a joke now saying you beat me by leaving the paint off, but the truth is, that this is one sweet build... Wow..
  6. Here's the Master pitot tube. The long version suited for the Me163B-1a.
  7. Almost ready for paint. But not before I add some omitted details. Again: I'm adding PE from the old Edaurd set. Here's the two part PE air vent that should sit in front of the pit. Pretty visible detail. And yes, I'm still polishing the wing root seems
  8. Try sitting in a Me163 between the fuel tanks. And noooooo.... not just the fuel that smells. The one that melts off your skin.
  9. hmm... Micro Sol should work. It looks like air got trapped under the decal. Indeed. Very sharp needle. and more Micro Sol. By the way: I don't always use gloss coat before decal time.
  10. Because......... it is! Freakin amazing isn't it??
  11. I'm with Paul 100%. And give the Micro Sol time to work. Don't dab the decals! Don't touch them.
  12. Thnx for the replies! Here's some more pics:
  13. Hi there, Here's my Junkers J.1. A great kit to start ww1 subjects with. A few tricky parts, but overall a pleasant build. I only added Master barrels and HGW seat belts. I also used lead foil to enhance the ridge that cover the ailerons. These were quite distorted in real life. Also fixed the issue with the gap between the aileron and wing. Cheers, Jeroen
  14. OK. I just dropped in and read all posts. HOLY CRAP! This is amazing! Raising the bar! Right up there with Umlaufmotor. And I'm just real happy the both of you are on LSM!!!
  15. They are! Even easier than the old Tamiya ones' you needed to staple to really hold together
  16. I'm in! Yesterday I found the extensive Part PE set containing... well... a lot! I'm half way through my build.
  17. Hi Grant, Thnx! As a matter of fact I will severely weather it since I'm building the captured RAF P VF241 sample. This one was flown, tested, crashed, repaired. I managed to blend the wing root offset in nicely. Almost ready for paint. Also added a control rod in the aft fuel access section. This item is very prominent in photo's.
  18. Thnx Guys! Well... the fit of the fuselage to the tail wasn't that good... Could have been my own doing, but a bad fit still. Brute force worked in the end. Also managed to get the wings on and am now working on blending in the seems. Using a riveter and scriber to restore lost surface detail.
  19. OK! This is right up my alley! And something i miss on a lot of WnW builds. These planes saw rough conditions, so this makes sense! Thanks again! Cheers, Jeroen
  20. Hi John, Thnx! I used the fullEduard set designed for the old Hasegawa kit and the newer Eduard color set with only the instrument panel. This set is also designed for the Hasegawa kit
