Ok,I have "lurked" since James did such a wonderful job creating this site.I have to thank Grant ,the all round "good egg"..."Woot " Lovett,for pulling me in.I don't know where to start? The Dutch guys.Alex and Bertl.....Doogs.Martin and co waving a flag for the UK.Thank you.I hit modeling seizure watching genius..........Now for all you mortal modelers....I gave it another go..........I was not aiming at accuracy,rather playing with wires,and generally making things busy,if you like,a practice run,leading to I know not where I will find my comfort level.......It has become fun again,not to mention a huge learning curve.So,starting with the obligatory Box 'n Bits,here goes.

This site is amazing,so are the people(well,that's silly for a start,YOU,all of you make the site).....anyone up for sharing childhood memories? It seems almost all of us are "returnees"......So,my childhood memory.Making the airfix lanc,maybe 10 yrs old. I lived on a farm,and diverted a stream...........(seriously a trickle),then "dammed it" with twigs. So,I have a reservoir and a dam.My proudly built lanc.......who needs to paint it,it was moulded in black right?............was duly ignited with a box of matches stolen from dad......oh my,Barnes Wallis would have been proud of those smokey droplets. I was on target,the twigs burned,and I breached the dam!!.We all seem to say....oops,had 10yrs out.....anyone else have a memory of how we got here?

Great looking space. This may help......on "the bit" I use for cutting and "messy stuff",I cover with dry wall/plasterboard,then with white paper,and tape in place,making sure to cover any cut edges of the drywall(which is also great to cut on) It may not look the greatest,but to regain brand new white surface....just rip the paper off and redo.And occasionally change the dry wall. I'm absolutely loving this.

I picked up a "head band magnifier" with twin led's,and extra swing down monocle at the local surplus store for $12.....and it's just fine! Need my bifocles under it though. Also use a mag lamp. Also have x4 dollar store magnifiers. Can get every focal range with that lot.
