Martinnfb
Time to move on.” Get your shot , wash your hands, if you sick stay home.” As I sad many times before this is the new flu, new status quo that’s here to stay.
GazzaS
My wife had a stomach bug for a few days, then I got it. Went to work the next day... felt a bit shitty so I had a COVID test before I walked in. Dammit! Negative. No week off for me!
Landlubber Mike
My kids all got it this past weekend, but it was like a mild cold for them and they are pretty much better. I think I had it back in March 2020, where I felt really tired near the end of the work day but no other symptoms and feel similarly now. Tested negative this weekend, but feel like I'm at least fighting it. Got the shots, but didn't get the booster. Seems like everyone is getting it. It's pretty rampant down here where I live. Last two years, I barely knew anyone that got it. This past month or so, I know a ton of people that have gotten it. Thankfully everyone has been handling it fairly well. 2
ScottsGT
I can now officially say I have not worked a full week at all during the month of January.
biggtim
Well, it's finally my turn. Despite the reports of this one being mild for most, it's much worse for me than the one I had a year ago. Yay!!! 1
Landlubber Mike
I finally tested positive. Yesterday wasn't fun, but feeling better today. Hang in there Tim! Advil has helped a lot - at least for me.
harv
Hope you both get better soon. Hang in there. Vitamins can help. B3, Zink and K2 can help prevent it too....harv
biggtim
Thanks! I am following the recommended regimen from a site suggested by my doctor: https://covid19criticalcare.com/ Seems to be working, I see some improvement over yesterday, but I expect it will take most of the week to get fully past it.
jgrease
On 1/27/2022 at 3:31 AM, HubertB said: It's galloping in France ATM. From a doc in emergencies in Paris' hospitals : "70 % of patients in ICU are not vaccinated. Of the 30 % vaccinated, 2/3 are suffering from an immune system deficit, so the vaccine is less likely to be effective on them... And we have no time to chase whether the remaining 1/3 of vaccinated people in ICU have not simply presented a phony vax pass." I know where my camp is, and got my booster, like almost everyone in Portugal. Hubert I don't fault anyone for getting vaxxed or boosted - you do you.
