GazzaS Posted September 29, 2022 Posted September 29, 2022 Ooh! Nice! I can see a flag waver! I once put 86 guys on the deck of a 1/350 scale destroyer. That was fun! 2 1
KevinM Posted October 1, 2022 Author Posted October 1, 2022 This one is finished and ready for the show.I went a very light rust for a ship probably could of gone lighter seeing I did nothing with the deck area but it was to be a clean build but once men hit the decks that changed. FYI when I over did the rust I used those rubber brushes to remove it it worked frigg'in excellent!! 3 2

KevinM Posted October 2, 2022 Author Posted October 2, 2022 I do not know about the carriers but the still looks possibly a Heavy Cruiser with the short SS and I see atleast two guns up front. It's the five turret set up Mogami class https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mogami-class_cruiser 3 1

KevinM Posted October 26, 2022 Author Posted October 26, 2022 Not first place but a close 2nd it was a small showing of builds about 100/150 entries in all categories with ships being the smallest so nothing to brag about. The judge did say she's a show stopper does many shows across the SE.He said if I would of dullcoated the deck for some glue marks hands down I was #1 if taken care of he said do it and take her to some more shows.I did take 1st in the 1/48 with my "Lil Margaret" P-51 REECE. 2 1
