Peterpools Posted January 14, 2024 Posted January 14, 2024 I found these photographs online while I was looking for a P-47 build I did. The Tamiya 1/32 P-51D Mustang, Tuskegee Red Tail: Dutchess Arlene, was a build thread I did on the LSP forum years ago. I thought it would be nice to share them, as I do not have the files any longer, just the model in the display case. From what I think I remember; the kit has the Barracuda cockpit detail set and an Alclad NMF (my first NMF). Enjoy  8
DocRob Posted January 14, 2024 Posted January 14, 2024 What a beauty, Peter, nice and shiny NMF, love it. Cheers Rob 1
Peterpools Posted January 14, 2024 Author Posted January 14, 2024 Thanks Rob So very much appreciated. I was surprised to see the build online a thread with links to other LSP builds on the forum. I got a kick out of seeing those photographs after so many years. She pretty much looks now as she did then as the display case keeps out about 95% or more of the dust and doesn't get direct sunlight so there hasn't been any paint fading that I can see with these old eyes. Â
KevinM Posted January 14, 2024 Posted January 14, 2024 That looks really Nice Peter is that a grey anti=glare panel? I have one grey also and questions were raised about that my answer it's the color they show. 1
Peterpools Posted January 15, 2024 Author Posted January 15, 2024 Thanks Kev, much appreciated. The anti glare panel is OD but I have no idea whose paint I used back then. Good chance it's TamiyaÂ
Peterpools Posted January 15, 2024 Author Posted January 15, 2024 Thank you Brother Bear. It has been a long time since that build and if I remember correctly, a big part of my build inspiration was your IAF Mustang build. Â
Peterpools Posted January 15, 2024 Author Posted January 15, 2024 Thanks Dennis It's been good few years, maybe more since I built the P-51. Just wonderful kit. Â
Peterpools Posted January 15, 2024 Author Posted January 15, 2024 Thanks Mike, from what I remember, a fun build with the usual excitement back then. Â Â
Peterpools Posted January 16, 2024 Author Posted January 16, 2024 Thanks John An oldie but Goodie for sure
PanzerWomble Posted January 17, 2024 Posted January 17, 2024 Nice one Peter . I Flory washed the one I did a few years back on LSP ....it's does odd things with alclad is all I can say .....not necessarily bad ...just odd. 😳
