belugawhaleman
Some items yesterday....... First some liner brushes for nails.. Bought on Amazon for about $ 10.00 U.S., these liner brushes vary in length from 5mm to 25mm . They look pretty nice, with metal handles and covers. I thought they might be useful, and I think they are a good value for the price. The brand printed on the handle is "Fadoleng". https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BX68ZY6P?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title&th=1 I also bought a kit that has been the basis of some very fine builds on this forum; Tamiya's Republic P-47D Thunderbolt " Razorback" (61086). I got this off Amazon for $ 34.00 with free shipping. Not bad. Looks like another quality kit from Tamiya....You know, great fit, instructions, etc......... I'm looking forward to building this one....or, Anything... I've been sidelined from the bench lately partially due to an injury to my right ankle joint and other circumstances. https://www.scalemates.com/kits/tamiya-61086-republic-p-47d-thunderbolt-razorback--121538 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000WN6TUA?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title
Martinnfb
Big shout out to Steve from ModelMonkey for designing replacement 1/24 P-47 prop hub. Kinetic part is grossly oversized and inaccurate. Pictured is the kit propeller hub already reduced in size, diameter etc.

RalphSarc
At 60% off I couldn’t help myself. I’ve never build a large scale figure kit however I have built a Bandai StarWars Walker and the Revell Mandalorian Razor Crest. Should be fun!!

BlrwestSiR
Ralph, it's not a big kit but the detail is nice. Like all Bandai Star Wars kits, it's press fit. So no glue needed. I'll try to grab some pics of the parts in a bit.

I enjoyed the Revell Razor Crest kit especially painting with different Tamiya metal paints!
belugawhaleman
Some recent items: From Tamiya, their 1/48 North American P-51B Mustang (61042). Wow already almost 30 years old...a 1995 release date, but I'm sure , being Tamiya, it'll be an excellent kit. I like the B Mustang.....Everyone always does the bubble top. I've ordered a set of masks... Those will be coming soon. Also, a masking set for the Tamiya's 1/48 P-47D razorback; Eduard (EXOO8) Last; A set of 20 glass eye droppers.....always useful. These were a cheap set from Amazon.... But really, they look pretty good. I used to buy these from Mc Master-Carr but those were a lot more costly--an unnecessary cost for what I use them for. .....I rate Tamiya....
belugawhaleman
Today a couple of items. From Tamiya their new 1/35 PanzerKampfwagen I Ausf. B (35388). Although a nice little kit I would have liked another option regarding the fenders. This thing is predictably tiny, but has very detailed link and length tracks and looks like it will be a nice build. Anyway, it was surprisingly priced at just $ 26. USD. Not bad. I also got an Eduard set for the Tamiya Brewster Buffalo.

ScottsGT
Pulled the trigger on this one last month when Fantastic Plastic put it up on a flash sale. I’ve been watching it on eBay priced just under $100 for a long time. But with a sale price of $65 I was willing to take the beating. Besides, it’s just a resin accessory for the Enterprise kit I have. 😇 But as my luck sometimes goes, it was sitting in the mailbox since Saturday and I just checked tracking this morning. Was scheduled for delivery tomorrow. And momma had just gone out of town for the day. 5

DocRob
New kits in the hood. On a wombeling kick, I decided to hit the buy button on the ugly but appealing at the same time Gannet. It seems to be a nice kit and I think, I will build it in a rotten German Bundesmarine livery. For less than 60€, I couldn´t say no to this little bugger. I always loved the tiny Fiats and often drove in some, when I was young. I´m not so fond of Italeri kits, but this one seemed to be a decent one, lets see. Cheers Rob
BlrwestSiR
Like I said earlier Rob, that's a great price on the Abarth. Hope to see you work your magic on it soon.
belugawhaleman
Some items today. Inspired by Rob's build, I ordered a Maschinen Krieger kit...It arrived today, It's their Luna Tactical Reconnaissance Machine Lum-168 CAMEL. Series MKO6 in 1/20. It's larger than I expected. Opening the box, it appears to be an impressive kit. I'm sure it will be a cool build. Another set of Friulmodel tracks, this time for the PzKpfw. I Some stuff from Eduard ; Some masks for Tamiya's 1/48 P-51B and a PE set for Hasegawa's KI-84 in 1/32. Last, another "Egg Girl" resin figure kit from Hasegawa. This time No.31 "Sasha Ilyushina" (nurse) .....This nurse ,she's "loaded for Bear"...
ScottsGT
I’ve been sitting on the fence over the Gannet. There was a small production 1/32 announced a few years back, but never saw an update. Probably vaporware. But as soon as I buy the 1/48 kit…. 4
ScottsGT
Well this just showed up and the wife got to watch me open it up. But no joy on my part watching her face turn red or blow a gasket. She knew it was on the way from our oldest son. Now that he’s a Captain his new command is going to be in charge over a Patriot missile group. Here’s the catch 22. It’s a bench clearing project so I can get it built for him before he retires in 10-12 years. 🤪 Im going to learn a lot about packing a built model for shipment.

Yes it is 1/12 scale, about as long as one of the American cruisers in 1/25 . Cheers Rob
