18 ga (1 mm) wire. You need to add one extra track link per side. Wiring harness feeding search light, IR and the rest or the electrical components is completely omitted. Some of the fuel lines are missing. Suspension sits little too proud up. Commanders cupola is missing its locking slot. Fenders need their wire spring fasteners. Too much to list.
I weathered the very first ERA brick, yay!
:)

Started working on the Andromeda build again. I need to add her two escort ships to her. I've been procrastinating about the paint for them as one is moulded in colour while the other isn't. I finally stopped worrying and just started painting.

So far they look the same so I guess it worked.

Carl

Nice to see you digging in and back to work on the Andromeda build. For me, the more I worry about certain stages/decisions of a build and what to do, the longer the project seems to collect 'builder's dust' and another project corrals my attention and bench time. For me anyway, the best solution is to dive back in and just start building. Glad to see you went the 'dive back into the pool route'.

One week left to the local show.  Trying to finish this monster. In 1/16 scale, the opportunity for detailing is limitless. Needless to say that this kit is on 1/72 level and almost everything has to be altered or redone.

Up next!  A long awaited build.  Just discovered Aero Masks last month and ordered their Splinter masks and decals.

Yea, I know.  It’s not a ‘66 Mustang.  But this one might take some time since it’s that time of the year again when the weather is changing and I can get out and do some yard work and home improvement projects that need to be done.

You don't see many of these getting built. I've got the same scheme for my Tamiya 1/48 kit.

I was thinking the same, interesting and cool subject but challenging and unpredictable build. To hit the paint job and finish on mark is almost impossible. I am actually in the process of ordering and testing Have glass paint and its variations. There has been lengthy discussion on variety of forums and it is a major PITA.

I bought the MRP HG paint sets to use on my B and C kits.  I’ve yet to try them out.  Cool thing about the splinter is no have glass!

I've got the TruColor Have Glass paints in the stash. They do a few of them. Some are labelled F-22 Radar Dispersion grey and a couple are F-35 Dispersion Grey. I'll need to see what the differences are.

I know some folks have used some of the tinted pearl coats that Mr Color have to get the shimmer effect.
